We hope the summer has gone well and your team is taking shape as the season opener draws near. As you may have seen; a number of changes have taken place at Basketball England in recent months to help move the game forward and improve the level of service we provide to our members and clubs. We have a new whole staff approach to dealing with customer enquiries that we’d like to make you aware of from a National League perspective.
As the first point of contact, a new Customer Service team is being established within our staffing structure. Bex Cunningham has been recruited to head up that team and we’d also like to welcome Georgia Jones to the organisation. 3 further members of this service team will be in post by the end of August 2017.
Our Customer Service team should be your first port of call for anything related to National League. They are equipped to handle any queries regarding registrations, fixture changes and day-to-day questions. They will also be able to assist with courses, general membership and taking payments. The Customer Service team can be contacted via our main office number on 0300 600 1170.
Here are some important email addresses to be aware of that will significantly speed up how quickly we can deal with your query:
Multiple people will have access to these accounts to help you as quickly as possible.
Nicky Brown has now left Basketball England and we thank her for the years of service to ourselves and the sport. Gail Richards has taken up the post of Senior Delivery Manager – Games (Leagues, Competitions & Events) and will be responsible for the top level management of our various competitions and events, including the National League. She will also be handling Governing Body Endorsements, should you require this service. Taner Adu has moved over to the department and a number of you will no doubt have already spoken to him in his new role. He’ll be responsible for assisting with the day to day admin of our competitions including fixture planning, events and the International Clearance process.
In the first instance though, please contact the Customer Service team who can escalate your queries to Gail and Taner if required.
This is a really exciting time for the department as we begin to move the game and our own processes forward. The Senior National League Engagement Day is set for Saturday 2nd September 2017 at EIS Sheffield to coincide with the National Officiating Conference. Don’t forget to book your place by clicking HERE. We will also be hosting key basketball development days to take place across the country on RPC dates with multiple themes attached to each.
Finally, if you have any questions about the above please don’t hesitate to get in contact. To email the department, please click HERE.
