NBA Global Games London 2015 Coaching Clinic

As part of Basketball England's active partnership with the National Basketball Association we are pleased to host another NBA Global Games coaching clinic on Tuesday 13th January 2015.

The clinic will start at 6pm, lasting approximately 90 minutes, and will take place at the Ethos Sports Centre - Imperial College London, 7 Princess Gardens, South Kensington Campus, London, South London, SW7 2AZ.

Joe Prunty of the Milwaukee Bucks returns to deliver informative coach learning, utilising on-floor demonstrations, and provides a not-to-be-missed personal development opportunity for coaches and teachers at all levels of the game. The on-court clinics will be followed with the coach’s open to questions from those in attendance.

New York Knick assistant coach Rasheed Hazzard and assistant coach, player development Josh Longstaff will co deliver a session on the Triangle Offence. Hazzard spent five seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers (2006-11), including as a member of NBA Championship teams in 2009 and 2010, working in player development and as an advance scout. Longstaff has spent the last four seasons working for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

This is another fantastic opportunity for coaches across England and the UK to learn and support their own learning and coaching practice.

"We are looking forward to working with Basketball England to bring NBA coaching clinics to UK coaches. We feel this is a great way to grow the game of basketball and it provides the perfect opportunity to utilize our NBA coaches to develop coaches here in the UK" said Neal Meyer, Senior Director of Basketball Operations, NBA Europe.

Brian Aldred, Coaching Participation & Development Manager commented, "We are delighted that the NBA are able to provide Basketball England's coaches access to quality coaching from high level coaches and encourage our own coaches to develop their learning and practice. We want all our coaches to be able to produce great players as part of the British player pathway."

Coaches wishing to attend this free event please Email Brian to confirm your place at this unique opportunity. Confirmation and further details will be emailed to those coaches that register.

Don't forget, the Junior NBA Basketball England League finals will be taking place at the UEL on Wednesday 14th January from 2pm, seeing the top four teams battle it out to become champions and be presented with the trophy by non other than NBA legend Dikembe Mutumbo! Entrance to the event is free so come down and support the event and meet the man himself.
