NBL/WNBL Live 2021/22 schedule updated

NBL Live has returned for a third season of Division One Men's and Women's action.

Two games - Worthing Thunder's 108-91 home NBL1 win over Essex Rebels and Bristol Flyers' 49-43 victory against Anglia Ruskin - are already in the books.

There are 12 more games to follow exclusively streamed on the Basketball England YouTube channel, including a couple of changes to the list first published in September - see the bottom of this article.

Commentary will be provided by John Hobbs, supported this season by Reading Rockets ‘stream team’ commentator Mark Halewood and a selection of guest co-commentators. The experienced Ralston Humble will lead the filming operation.

Gail Richards, Basketball England’s Senior Delivery Manager for Leagues, Competitions & Events, said:

“It’s great to be close to the start of another National League season – and one when supporters can return to venues across the country.

“The NBL Live team will be looking to provide a high-quality viewing experience for a selection of men’s and women’s Division One games, featuring expert insight and a range in interesting guests, as well as aiming to set production standards that clubs can aspire to in their own coverage of games this season.”

Hobbs added: “Once again, we are looking forward to resuming our coverage of the National Leagues, and continuing to promote these exciting and hugely competitive competitions with the added bonus of supporters returning to the venues.

“As always, the coverage gives fans, who can’t make it to the games a chance to see their favourite teams in action, but it also gives the families that are living abroad a chance to watch their relatives in action too.”

WNBL1 in the spotlight

This season, Basketball England will stream seven WNBL1 encounters with Richards adding: “We’re looking to forward to seeing even more of the WNBL on our screens this season and getting back to a full complement of teams. It should be an exciting campaign.”

Other on-screen action

Teams will also be encouraged to live stream their own games around the NBL/WNBL Live schedule with the action being collated on the BE YouTube channel.
