Timeout podcast: Coach Tony Garbelotto talks to Troy Culley

Respected veteran coach Tony Garbelotto has recorded another episode for the Basketball England Timeout podcast.

Tony's conversations with the top British basketball coaches continue with Great Britain U16 and Myerscough College coach Troy Culley, who joins him to discuss his coaching career so far.

Last week's guest was former assistant coach of the Great Britain U20s and current director of the Student Athlete Network – Coach Josh Merrington.

Tony will be interviewing a range of coaches who fall into three categories - 'Legends', 'Professionals' and 'Rising Stars' each week.

Great Britain U18 Head Coach and City of Edinburgh Basketball Club's Craig Nicol, a legend of British and Scottish coaching in John Bunyan, Associate Head Coach at St Francis College, Brooklyn and Head Coach of Great Britain U16s girls Jen Leedham, current coach of UBI Graz in the top Austrian league and long term assistant coach of the highly successful GB Women's team Coach Vanessa Ellis are two other recent guests on the podcast and one of the most successful coaches in women’s and girls basketball, Len Busch. 

In the rest of the series, Neal Hopkins, who was our first ever guest on Timeout, returned to talk more about his career and his time in the early stages of his coaching journey.

Tony has also spoken to trailblazing British coach Tim Lewis, Laszlo Nemeth, one of the first Eastern European coaches to be on the side-lines here in the UK and Cheshire Phoenix head coach Ben Thomas.

Tony kicked things off by speaking to Sheffield Hatters legend Betty Codona OBE, before sitting down with Cheshire Phoenix stalwart - previously of Chester Jets - Mike Burton.
