Ezdihar Abdulmula, who is the co-founder and manager of Bradford Cobras Basketball Club as well as a high-profile advocate of girls' and women's basketball, has been highly commended in the Sporting Role Model - Individual category.
Sheffield Hatters have impressively been selected alongside national Olympic teams on the shortlist for the Sporting Role Model - Team accolade, while Benny Bonsu is provisionally in the running to be named Media Individual of the Year.
The Women's British Basketball League (WBBL) are also in contention to claim the Inspiring Initiative - National award.
The eventual finalists will be chosen by an expert panel over the next few weeks, with the general public voting for their preferred winners from Tuesday, April 18th onwards.
