Head coach Daniel Hildreth:

"The Jnr. NBL Final Fours is one of the best events in British basketball in my opinion and we have been fortunate as a club to attend multiple times over the past few years.

"The incredible passion from the players, parents and spectators all in one room illustrates how much it means to everyone. All the hard work from the coaches and players, all the travelling and costs involved are all worth it when you walk into the NPBC.

"It’s truly an experience that they will cherish for the rest of their lives and for many as an U18, it's their last chance to play junior basketball on the big stage, you always want to win your last game. The will inevitably be nerves and adrenaline in abundance and it’s a case of who can control those and perform in the big moment.

"All I will ask of my players is they have no regrets when they walk off the court. They have to leave everything out on the floor so no matter what the result they can hold their heads high. They’ve already won by being there, now it’s time to enjoy the moment and seize the opportunity."

Owen Ono:

"Making it to the JFFs means a lot to us. A lot of us have been to a finals before but this is the last time we can as a junior team.

"It’s a reflection of the hard work, trust, and commitment we’ve built as a team throughout the seasons together. I’m proud of what we’ve achieved so far, and we’re ready to compete and leave it out on the floor for one last time!"

"A privilege for us all to be in Manchester and we will be giving it our all to try and achieve our goal."

Head coach Rhys Davies:

"I was fortunate enough to experience Jnr. NBL Final Fours last year as an assistant at my previous club but returning as a head coach is an honour and privilege.

"This group of young men have been incredible all year. We have pushed and tested them, we’ve had highs and lows like most teams but I have always believed we can beat anyone on our day.

"We prepare for each team and the boys have responded every time we have faced adversity. It’s a true credit to their character and they are now the third U16 team in a row to make a Final Four appearance for the club, we are hoping it’s third time lucky.

"The parents and support has been incredible and there isn’t another team that deserves this opportunity more. I’m extremely proud of them all and I hope when all is said and done we can bring a championship back to Sussex."

Josh Davidson:

"Despite a number of ups and downs through the season we have been in a very competitive division and have played some extremely good teams.

"We had to adjust to a coaching change and I’m sure like many teams had a series of injuries at crucial times in the season but have stuck together.

"One of the biggest disappointments was the National Cup semi-final loss to Milton Keynes, with 2 starters out but we battled to the end before just falling short. I think this gave us a new found motivation To not feel that again.

"I had the privilege of playing in the final fours last year as an u15, it was such an amazing experience and one that I have told myself all year I have to get back to.

"I know everyone works hard but I don’t believe there is a harder working U16 team in the country and that’s why we deserve our chance to win a Championship.

"No matter what happens at the Final Fours I am proud of what the team has accomplished, but we are not done yet!"
