WNBL D1 Recap (22/23 Nov 2025) - results, stats, streams and more

Wins for London Cavaliers, CoLA and Manchester Mystics pushed that trio further towards the title conversation, whilst the Cavs, Mystics, Loughborough and London All Stars all progressed in the Cup.

Standout performances

This weekend's D1W winners all got a leg up on their competition, vaulting themselves into the top three as a result.

CoLA's 84-72 victory against Bromsgrove was perhaps tougher than some may have expected, given the record of the two sides entering play - and an upset was on the cards as the Bears led 46-39 at the half.

That sparked Pride into gear as they took both periods of the second half to win by double-digits.

London Cavaliers used a 22-9 final quarter to elevate their title push at Anglia Ruskin's expense, winning 67-61 despite trailing 52-45 heading into the final 10 minutes.

An injury to standout guard Maisie Keyes provided a double blow for Ipswich as they went down 69-51 against Manchester Mystics.

The win keeps Manchester in the hunt with the league's top sides, whilst Ipswich's title aspirations were dealt another blow with their third loss of the campaign.

What does it mean for the standings? 

CoLA (14pts), Manchester (12pts) and London Cavaliers (10pts) now occupy the top three spots, with Ipswich and ARU battling for the other top four space closely behind.

Worcester can still get into the mix after suffering just two losses so far, but much will depend on winning their games in hand.

No game for Loughborough and another defeat for Bromsgrove, albeit valiantly, leaves the duo in the bottom two.

Player-of-the-week candidates 

Janice Monakana's 28-point, 11-rebound double-double helped the Cavs' past ARU, and CoLA duo Adaora Dioramma (21pts, 11reb) and Chandera Jones-Aryeh (16pts, 14ast) both grabbed double-doubles of their own.

Kizzy Spence's 25 points helped down Ipswich, Rebecca Brindley (26pts, 6reb) deserves credit for her part in the Bears' efforts this weekend, as does ARU's Tia Freeman (20pts, 10reb, 5ast) in the loss to the Cavs.

WNBL National Cup

The 2025/26 final four has now been confirmed, with each team now just one win away from January's showpiece Final.

Eighteen points from Mallory Meyer and 16 more from Caitlin Ryan pushed Loughborough to a 68-55 victory against Bristol, though fellow D1W strugglers Bromsgrove were unable to follow them as they went down 68-52 at home to a Georgia Perdomo-inspired Manchester Mystics.

Sixteen points from Fannie Serrano wouldn't be enough for last season's finalists Brent to progress, they fell by the narrowest of margins to London All Stars, 46-45.

That just left London Cavaliers to do the double over ARU, beating Ruskin for the second time in as many days. The 85-59 final score was boosted by a game-high 27 points from Chinwe Iwunze, cancelling out a 14-point, nine-rebound effort from reigning Player of the Week Faye Parker.
