England Select team announced for Future Stars tournament

The England squad has been named for the Future Stars Junior International tournament at Brunel University.

The under-18s event, which takes place between August 30-September 1, has taken a hiatus since 2013 but is back with a bang.

Past tournaments have featured the likes of Rudy Gobert, Dario Saric and Tomas Satoransky.

The 2019 edition will see top European clubs preparing for the season and also features the England national team.

2019 Teams:

  • Maccabi Teddy Tel Aviv
  • Rytas Vilnius
  • Porchse Ludwigsburg
  • Oxygen Orange 1 Basket
  • U18 England National Team

Basketball England's technical and performance manager Steve Bucknall said: “The Future Stars event is a great opportunity to offer international exposure and identifying potential in our talent pathway on our door step.

"This tournament also aligns our Performance Talent Pathway alongside the EDP structure. It's an opportunity for our Aspire coaches  to gain valuable CPD and experience against competing and learning from international standard coaches.”
