Myerscough top EYBL regular season standings - now for SuperFinal!

Myerscough College topped the European Youth Basketball League's regular season standings by securing a second consecutive stage victory in Valmiera, Latvia.

The EABL team followed their second place in stage one and a win in Estonia, to pip Tallinn Kalev ahead of the last-four SuperFinal next month.

Mikey Irvine scored a team-high 13 points off the bench and Myerscough won its 12th-straight EYBL game, defeating BC Tsmoki-Minsk 68-43.

Amari Williams added 10 points, eight rebounds and five assists in just under 16 minutes.

Myerscough secured their place at the SuperFinal by virtue of its win on Saturday afternoon over BS DSN.

Guard Bradley Kaboza was named EYBL Most Valuable Player for a second consecutive stage on Sunday.

Kaboza led Myerscough in scoring at 17.0 points per game on 56.6 percent shooting. He reached double-figures in three out of five games and matched the league’s highest individual performance with 31 points against BS DSN.

“From the start of the season I put myself in a place where I wanted to be the one to step up in these moments,” said Kaboza. “It’s been great to have the belief of my teammates — when I have that it makes me more confident to perform.”
