WNBL Division One Preview - Week 22 (29 February/1 March 2020)

Four games will take us into the start of March in D1W, with a big clash as our game of the week which is sure to be a cracker.

Game of the week

Thames Valley Cavaliers (9-6) v Reading Rockets (8-4)

It's fourth vs fifth as Cavaliers host Rockets and both teams come into this on the back of big wins.

Cavaliers have week 21 player of the week Diana Voynova in their ranks, whose double-double (26 points, 14 rebounds) got them through the century to beat Nottingham Trent University.

Rockets got their own win over Bristol Flyers and can go level on points with Cavaliers if they get another this week.

Elsewhere in D1W

BA London Lions II (3-11) have a tough battle on their hands when they host league leaders Ipswich (13-2) on Saturday. Nick Drane's side made it 10 wins on the trot with the result over Barking Abbey a couple of weeks ago and show no sign of letting up.

Bristol Academy Flyers (6-8) host Nottingham Trent University (4-9), with four points separating the sides in the table. Arielle Jackson's name will no doubt strike fear into Flyers after her gigantic 53 points tally last week.

Finally, second-placed Anglia Ruskin (12-2) travel to Loughborough Riders (2-13) as they continue to chase Ipswich with a game in hand. With four games left in their schedule and only two points behind, the visitors know their fate is in their own hands and they can't afford any slip ups.
