WNBL1 recap: Week 8 (20/21 November 2021) - live streams, stats and more (1)

Just three games marked week eight of the WNBL as CoLA Southwark Pride kept up their charge at the top of the table.

Loughborough's trip to London Lions II was rescheduled but CoLA went about their business in the usual fashion stretching their winning start to the WNBL1 season to eight games to maintain the division's only unbeaten record by beating Cardiff Met Archers 65-63 in overtime.

Elsewhere,  Anglia Ruskin edged Solent 79-73 and Nottingham Trent University fell short of grabbing their first win of the season, going down 63-56 at home to Worcester.

There's a recap of all the action below, and each result is also clickable if you wish to view the live stats.

CoLA stretched their impressive win streak - but were made to work hard for their eighth successive victory by Cardiff and needed an added period to get the job done.

Cardiff, for whom Denisa Molnar hit 26, made a strong start and took the opening quarter by four points but CoLA regained command at the break, leading 36-31.

Cardiff rallied to level it at 48 each going into the final period and it was tied at 57 at the end of regulation time.

It remained neck and neck until Emilie Black's late winner via a lay-up, sealed the win for the home team.
