KitKing Trophy preview: Quarter-Final fixtures, live stats & streams (01/02 October 2022)

The knockout stages of the KitKing Trophy get underway this weekend.

Eight sides remain following the conclusion of the group stages, as clubs aim to take the first piece of silverware on offer in 2022/23.

The form sides and players are now well-known across the competition and Rebound's Team of the Week selection will look to carry their group stage exploits into the latter stages of the competition.

Unbeaten Group 1 winners Worthing Thunder will host Thames Valley, whilst Group 2 champs Reading entertain Loughborough.

That leaves the top teams in Groups 3 and 4, Hemel Storm and Derby Trailblazers, with home ties against Bradford Dragons and Team Solent Kestrels respectively.

Holders Derby will no doubt welcome an opportunity to entertain Solent, a team they beat at the semi-final stage of last season's competition, whilst Reading also reached the semis a year ago. They'd love to emulate that achievement as a minimum here, providing they can navigate past the Riders.

That game between the Rockets and Loughborough is set to be on the Basketball England YouTube channel, with a tip off of 2pm.

This weekend's quarter-final fixtures (October 1 2022):

The semi-final draw has also been made, meaning sides know who stands in their way of December's final should they progress. Reading Rockets or Loughborough Riders will face either Hemel Storm or Bradford Dragons, while the winners of Worthing Thunder and Thames Valley Cavaliers will take on Derby Trailblazers or Solent Kestrels. The semi-finals are due to take place on 8/9 October.
