2025/26 NBL Awards week: WNBL Division Two

Continuing on from yesterday's NBL Division Three picks, it's time for WNBL Division Two's winners.

Based on performances across the regular season, we'll also be announce NBL Division Two's picks tomorrow, with WNBL Division One following on Thursday.

Wilson MVPs

Beaten playoff finalists a year ago, Milton Keynes Breakers put that disappoint behind them with another stellar regular season.

Going 18-2, the Breakers narrowly pipped Hemel Storm via their head-to-head tiebreaker to secure Pool A's top spot, and a big reason for their success was MVP winner Sarah Round.

The talented guard anchored her side's rotation at both ends of the court, allowing the MK outfit to push on towards a successful season.

Pool B's Barking Abbey also put 2024/25 disappointment behind them, erasing their D1W relegation to put together a promotion-winning performance in 2025/26.

Rising star Kamilah Yakabu was BA's standout across their 15-3 campaign, earning plaudits from players and coaches alike across D2W.

Already recognised for her promising play in the WEABL, Yakabu's reputation continues to grow after a great WNBL season.

Wilson Coaches of the Year

Milton Keynes make it back-to-back COTY awards as Mike Round follows Ben Nailer from a year ago in earning D2W honours.

The Breakers topped their standings with a pool-leading offence that dropped 70.7PPG, conceding the second-lowest points against in reply.

Round managed to get the best out of Sarah Round, whilst also fostering positive seasons from Courtney Gray, Lauren Dabbs and others on the MK roster.

Barking's Lauren Milligan is D2W's other Coach of the Year recipient for 2025/26, winning Pool B at 15-3 with an offence that recorded 71.7PPG.

Consistently developing young players and improving them as the season wore on, Milligan got the best from growing talents like POTY Yakabu, plus Sharliyah Sutherland, Tia Andrew and more.

Senior Playoff Finals

Today's awards continue the week of NBL and WNBL end-of-season honours in the lead up to this weekend's senior playoff finals at the National Basketball Performance Centre in Manchester.
