Basketball England Regional Awards nights set for April and May

With 15 awards per region for achievements in 2025, the prestigious Services to Basketball Award will also be announced as further names are added on BE's Roll of Honour.

After the successful launch of the face-to-face award evenings in 2025, BE is looking forward to once again acknowledging the people and organisations who have contributed so much to our game over the past year.

At each event, BE will also be sharing a range of information on the upcoming season, and each member club and league is encouraged to have at least one representative present.

BE's Participation Programme and Local Development Manager Nick Holloway said:

"The annual regional award ceremonies are a great opportunity for the basketball community to come together to celebrate our own, as well as share ideas on how we can grow the game.

"I strongly encourage all clubs to come out and reflect on what has been a strong year in basketball, whilst also learning about is new and upcoming for 2026/27."

The dates and locations for this year's awards events are as follows:

• North West - All day event, 17 & 18/04/2026 - Manchester Basketball Centre
• West Midlands - 7pm, 18/04/2026 - Bromsgrove Bowls Club
• East - 7pm, 24/04/2026 - Long Road Sixth Form College
• North East - 6pm (for a 6:30pm start), 25/04/2026 - Vertu Arena, Newcastle
• South East - 7pm, 25/04/2026 - Mercure Maidstone Great Danes Hotel
• Yorkshire - 7pm, 27/04/2026 - Holiday Inn Wakefield
• London - 7pm, 15/05/2026 - Rugby Portobello Trust, W11 4EY
• East Midlands - 7pm, 16/05/2027 - Holiday Inn Mansfield Alfreton
• South West - 7pm, 22/05/2026 - Custom House Plymouth
• South - 7pm, 24/05/2026 - Binfield Community Centre

The 15 awards that we will presented are as follows: 

• Children’s Coach of the Year  

• Club Coach of the Year  

• Club Welfare Officer of the Year  

• Community Basketball Program of the Year  

• Community Club of the Year  

• Education Institution of the Year  

• Inspiring Female of the Year  

• Local League Provider of the Year  

• Media/Photographer of the Year  

• Player Development Coach of the Year (Talent)  

• Referee of the Year  

• Slam Jam Delivery Provider of the Year  

• Statistician of the Year  

• Table Official of the Year 

Each evening will be closed off as my presenting the Services to Basketball award, which recognised an individual’s lifelong commitment to the game.
