Academy Leagues: Nine 25/26 stars enter history books

Nine players have entered the EABL or WEABL statistical top 10s over the last campaign, with one player even setting the best-ever mark across a category.

Since the EABL and WEABL stats records began in 2015, we've been tracking the top 10 performers in a number of categories, with plenty of the most recent cohort making their mark.

We take a look at those performances below, providing a fitting end to the current campaign.

BMet's Larry Duru in action 

EABL

North Conference MVP Demi Babalola enjoyed a positive campaign, with the Manchester product's 26.5EPG ranking him 6th all-time, whilst his 4.0SPG were good for 8th overall.

BMet may have missed the playoffs, but Larry Duru was one of the league's standout players in 2025/26.

Coming third in the North's MVP voting was no shock after his 25.3EPG moved him into 9th on that list, and his 25.5PPG only trailed all-time scoring leader Blake Bowman's 27.6PPG from 2019/20.

Duru wasn't done there, with his 13.5RPG pushing him into 7th all-time as well.

Oaklands' Gavin Mitchell also pulled down 13.5RPG to get himself onto the rebounding list with Duru, and Babalola's Manchester team mate Jack Walton (7.0APG, 3rd all-time, and 44.8 3PT%, 8th all-time) also makes the grade.

Charnwood's Tristan Curran (22.8PPG, 8th all-time) and Zavier Gleadell-Smith (2.2BPG, 9th all-time) round out an impressive group of standouts from the past campaign.

WEABL

Copleston forward Holly Ensoll enjoyed a breakout season in 2025/26, and she's left her mark on the league's record books as a result.

Her 4.1BPG is the best mark in the league's history, and only trails AJ Edu's 4.5BPG for SGS in 2016/17 as the highest BPG by any player across either league.

Unsurprising, the 6'6" forward also put herself into the rebounding mix as well, with her 16.3RPG placing her 5th all-time.

North MVP Tiarna Chambers-Desmond led Nottingham to a Conference title, and her 27.7EPG was a big reason for it. That mark puts her 8th overall, maintaining her average across an impressive nine games.

MK5D made the post-season in their second year of WEABL action, fostering a young core that has continued to grow. One such bright light is guard Faith Deakin, and her 5.1SPG puts her 9th all-time to round out this year's standouts.
