Tell us a little about yourself:
"I'm in my ninth season, having originally played in Hong Kong since Year 4. I did athletics and volleyball before I started basketball.
"I was doing PE and they needed a team for basketball, so they made everyone in the year trial for the school team. I loved it and then started training for the team for three hours a day.
"I then played for the Hong Kong national team right before COVID-19, and then came to England to play for the Reading Rockets.
"I also played in the Aspire All-Star Tournament for the South in the U15 Girls age group."
Can you a remember a moment when you decided basketball was something you wanted to play more seriously? What happened?
"It was the first time I felt disappointed in myself for doing bad, even though we won the game. That was when I realised, I didn’t just want to play for fun and good vibes."
What have been the biggest challenges of your basketball career so far?
"When I sprained my ankle in the quarter-final at the Jnr. NBL Final Fours in the U18 Women’s Playoffs.
"This was my first big injury. It happened in the first quarter and I hated that I couldn’t help my team win after we had all worked so hard for three weeks preparing for the game."

Who is the toughest player you’ve faced? What made them so difficult to play against?
"I'd say former Barking Abbey guard Megan Verbeeten, because of her combination of skills, speed and shooting ability.
"It made her a really difficult player to defend, you never knew what her next move could be."
What are your goals for the season, and beyond?
"Firstly, to make the playoffs with our U18 Women’s team. And be top for both steals and assists in the WEABL. As a personal goal, I have also been working really hard on becoming a better shooter.
"After that, I want to play basketball in America at college while continuing my education, and then move into professional basketball."
What are you currently working on to take your game to the next level?
"I have been working a lot on my shot over the summer, and I've continued to commit time to it so far this season.
"I also have been looking to further develop my finishing around the basket."
What advice would you give someone who is just getting started in basketball?
"I'd say to focus on your own personal journey, and don't compare yourself with other players' journeys and achievements."
Who is your favourite basketball player and why?
"Kobe Bryant, because of the way he viewed basketball and how his mindset made him one of the best players of all time."
