Aspire Skills Camps pre-Christmas schedule

The latest round of camps takes place between 20 and 23 December as players are once again put through their paces across the Basketball England regions. 

The programme is building towards the selection process for inclusion in the Super Region Camps in February and, ultimately, the 3x3 and 5v5 Aspire All-Star Tournaments in July. 

It was announced recently that 2026 The Aspire 5v5 All-Star Tournament will have a new format - with Scotland and Wales joining the annual BE Talent Pathway showpiece. 

Two of the upcoming Skills Camps - East and West Midlands - will feature information sessions for players about the Diploma in Sporting Excellence (DiSE) from programmes who deliver the course while completing in the Elite Academy Leagues. 

The programme enables 16-19-year-olds to play basketball within an elite environment in the Elite Academy Basketball League (EABL) and Women's Elite Academy Basketball League (WEABL) whilst studying in a further education or sixth-form setting.

• London North (Girls): 9:30am-3:30pm – Kensington Aldridge Academy 

21 December 2025 

• North East (Boys): 10am-4pm – Beacon of Light, Sunderland
• North West: 11am-5pm – Manchester Basketball Centre 
• Yorkshire: 10am-4pm – York Sports Arena 
• West Midlands: 10am-5pm – Wolverhampton University. DiSE day to introduce progression in the pathway with City of Birmingham Rockets.  
• South: TBC – Arborfield Green Leisure Centre, Reading 
• South East: 9:30am-4pm – Medway Park Sport Centre, Gillingham 
• East: 9am-4:30pm – University of Essex 
• London South (Boys): 9am-3pm – The Thunderdome 

22 December 2025 

• North East: 10am-4pm – Vertu Motors Arena, Newcastle 
• North West: 10am-4pm – Manchester Basketball Centre 
• Yorkshire: 10am-4pm – York Sports Arena 
• East Midlands: 10am-5pm – Nottingham Wildcats Arena (DiSE day with Nottingham Wildcats to introduce progression in the pathway)  
• South West: 10am-5pm – Cheltenham Sports Centre 
• South: TBC, Arborfield Green Leisure Centre, Reading 
• South East: 9:30am-4pm – ACS Cobham 
• East: 9am-4:30pm – University of Cambridge 
• London North (Girls): 12pm-6pm – Ark Soane Academy 
• London South (Boys): 9am-3pm – The Thunderdome 

23 December 2025
