Basketball England and Sport Structures extend basketball coaching partnership

At the heart of this collaboration is a shared commitment to improving the quality of coaches entering and progressing through the basketball pathway.

The renewed agreement will ensure Sport Structures continue to deliver relevant, accessible and an insight-led programme of coach education to build a strong and confident coaching workforce.

This includes BE’s Introduction to Coaching Basketball (previously Level 1), the new Community Coach Award (Level 2), the Club Coach Award (Level 2) and the 1st4sport Level 3 Certificate in Coaching Basketball.

Beyond course delivery, the partnership includes a range of services designed to enhance coach development. These include responding to course requests, delivering a national programme of publicly available basketball courses, hosting selected e-learning content and providing tailored learning and development support.

Brian Aldred, Basketball England Coaching Delivery Manager, said:
