Basketball England membership benefits update
With Basketball England seeing growth in membership numbers this season, we wanted to remind members of the great benefits that come with being part of your National Governing Body.
As clubs and local leagues benefit from utilising our new membership and competition management platform PlayHQ, members should also be aware of what is available to them.
Our existing two tiers of membership enjoy many of the same benefits, with your licence to participate at either National League (Performance membership) or local league (Participant membership) the main difference between the two.
Insurance and a licence to participate in competitions are the reasons many take out a membership, but members also get a host of other benefits, including discounts with hundreds of retailers as well as on Basketball England courses and event tickets, and much more.

- 10% Basketball England shop discount
- 10% Basketball England coaching and officiating courses discount
- 10% event ticket discount
- Insurance (personal accident cover, plus public liability and professional indemnity for coaches and officials)
- Membership services support
- Access to coaching and officiating area experts and resources
- Member rewards and perks – discounts with hundreds of retailers
- Personalised stats and content through the PlayHQ App for those in affiliated competitions using PlayHQ eScoring*
Membership rewards
Our membership rewards offer discounts across hundreds or retailers, brands, attractions and more.
There are regular discounts available across brands and retailers such as Nike, Adidas, JD Sports, Decathlon and many others offering basketball gear and merchandise, alongside supermarkets, lifestyle, health and wellness brands, attractions, restaurants and more.
To access the rewards, follow this simple three-step process.
Step 1) Login to your profile through the PlayHQ UK website through the link HERE
Step 2) Select the rewards tab and click on the button to go to the Membership Rewards portal.
Step 3) Browse and take advantage of the huge range of rewards and discounts available to Basketball England members.
HoopsHQ app
Alongside member rewards, the benefits of the Hoops HQ app have been well received by members and clubs alike. Our new App allows members access to game, season and personal statistics and enables every member to follow the sport in a way that was out of reach until this season. The feedback and usage certainly shows members are engaging and thoroughly enjoying the Hoops HQ App.

Our current memberships will soon be joined by our new supporter membership, that aims to provide a membership for all club fans and followers, with many of the same benefits as our existing memberships.
