Glasgow 2026: England Women Ireland-bound to further 3x3 prep
England Women’s 3x3 squad is heading to Ireland for a 3x3 preparation camp hosted by Basketball Ireland.
From the 29-31 May, England will train at the National Basketball Arena in Dublin under the direction of head coach Sarah Hopkins-Chery before facing Ireland’s senior 3x3 side – who are preparing for the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series 2026 – in a number of friendlies.

Squad selection for the Commonwealth Games is still ongoing, with a roster of various players being used interchangeably for training camps and tournaments to further player experience and cohesion.
A GB U23 Women’s select side will also be heading to Ireland, as part of GB’s summer of 3x3 activity.
Representing the Under-23s on this camp will be Issy Bunyan, Katie Januszewska, McKenzie Mathurin and Precious Omoshola.
England Women’s and Men’s 3x3 teams recently qualified for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games after a home nations tournament hosted at the National Basketball Performance Centre in Manchester.
England Women beat Wales 21-11 in their final on the 23 May to secure their spot.
