Glasgow 2026 3x3 qualification tournament: Schedule & tickets for Manchester showdown

The tournament sees England, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland and Wales battle it out to secure a spot in the men’s and women’s competitions at this year’s Games.  

The schedule has been and tickets are on sale for the winners-take-all two-day international showpiece.

Saturday 23 May

The Glasgow Commonwealth Games run from 23 July to 2 August, with the 3x3 Basketball and 3x3 Wheelchair Basketball tournaments taking centre stage at the Scottish Exhibition Campus from the 24 July to 29 July.

The number of men's and women's teams competing in the running and wheelchair basketball competitions has increased from eight to 12, which means that there are three additional sessions across the six days of basketball competition.   

Countries already confirmed to compete in the men’s competition are Scotland, Fiji, Nigeria, Singapore, Cayman Islands, Jamaica, New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia and Guyana.   

In the women’s it's Scotland, Fiji, Kenya, Uganda, Singapore, Cayman Islands, Jamaica, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Tonga. 

Julius Joseph MBE and Sarah Hopkins-Chery have been selected by Basketball England to lead the England men’s and women’s 3x3 campaigns.

At Birmingham 2022, Team England won gold and silver in the inaugural Commonwealth Games 3x3 Finals, with the men’s team of Myles Hesson, Kayne Henry, Jamell Anderson and Orlan Jackman triumphant against Australia and the women’s team of Chantelle Handy, Hannah Jump, Cheridene Green and Shanice Beckford-Norton finishing as silver medalists in a nail-biting one-point loss to Canada. 

Team England
