Glasgow 2026: Monday report, scores, gallery and more
It was moving day for Team England as both the men and women seized their chance to progress to the latter stages of the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
The two sides combined to take five of their six games on Saturday, with the men going 3-0 and the women 2-1, and both quartets found success in their two remaining pool games to wrap up their respective schedules.
As unbeaten Pool B winners, England's men will take on the winner of Pool A play-in game between New Zealand and Singapore, with the women taking on Jamaica in their own play-in game on Tuesday night.

Men’s 3x3 Basketball Pool B - England 21-19 Malaysia
England secured top spot in Pool B with a game to spare as they edged out Malaysia 21-19.
Eight points from Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye and six apiece from Evan Walshe and Ashley Hamilton helped extend England's unbeaten start to the tournament, ending Malaysia's perfect record to send coach Joseph's side through to Wednesday's semi-finals.
The win appeared to be a sure thing when England led both 19-14 and 20-16, but multiple late misses, including a pair of Walshe free throws, gave Malaysia a glimmer of hope as they found some offence of their own.
The prospect of an upset was extinguished as Walshe made it third time lucky from the line, averting what could have been a costly slip up.
Women’s 3x3 Basketball Pool B - England 21-4 Papua New Guinea
England's women swept aside Papua New Guinea, bouncing back to winning ways with a 21-4 victory.
A commanding performance that ended the game inside six minutes, Georgia Gayle's nine points went with six points and five rebounds from Cheridene Green as the quartet shot 72% from the floor.
PNG were held to 36% shooting in reply, with England slowly pulling away the longer the game wore on to quickly erase the memory of their lone pool loss against New Zealand.
The victory sets up a winner-takes-all clash later in the day against Tonga, with whoever comes out on top securing second spot in Pool B.
Men’s 3x3 Basketball Pool B - England 21-13 Singapore
England's men completed a spotless pool stage with a fifth win in a row, seeing off Singapore 21-13.
Tied 6-6 after an even opening, a 10-4 run then put England in control as they shot an incredible 81% from the floor.
The highlight of the game was a sensational alley-oop from Walshe to Jamell Anderson, providing their side with plenty of energy and momentum to run away to another W.
The men will now enjoy a day off on Tuesday, sealing a path directly to Wednesday's semi-finals against the winner of the play-in game between New Zealand and Singapore.
Women’s 3x3 Basketball Pool B - England 21-4 Tonga
Tonga were no match for Team England as coach Hopkins-Chery's side cruised to their second 21-4 win of the day.
Needing a win to secure second spot in the pool, England were never phased and shot the ball impressively behind the best game of the tournament so far from Katie Januszewska.
The young wing went 4/5 from deep to lead the team with a game-high eight points as the quartet also went a perfect 6/6 from the foul line.
England now face Pool A third-place finishers Jamaica for a semi-final spot, with the Caribbean side going 3-2 in their five games so far.
