Great Britain Confirm Squad for FIBA U18 EuroBasket 2026
Great Britain U18 Men's Head Coach Alan Keane has confirmed the 12-player squad that will represent the nation at the FIBA U18 EuroBasket 2026 Division B tournament in Croatia later this week.
The tournament, which takes place from 24 July to 2 August across Rijeka and Opatija, will see Great Britain compete in Group C alongside Belgium, Finland, the Netherlands and Cyprus, with the team aiming to build on the progress made across recent summers at junior international level.
Following their preparation period, Keane's side heads to Croatia with an exciting blend of domestic and overseas-based talent, many of whom have already gained valuable experience competing at National League, EABL, Super League Basketball Academy and international age-group level.

Discussing the roster he has selected, Coach Keane (pictured above) said:
“Selecting this squad wasn’t easy, the depth we saw across camp made every decision competitive, and that’s a real credit to the players and the programmes they’ve come through.
“With such a short prep window, we’ve had to move quickly, compress a lot of learning into a small number of days, and ask these players to adapt fast. What’s stood out most is the work ethic and coachability they’ve brought to every session.
“There’s still a lot to build heading into the Europeans, but this group has given us a foundation to work from. Excited to keep developing with them over the coming weeks.”
Great Britain open their campaign against Cyprus, before taking on Belgium, Finland and the Netherlands in what promises to be a highly competitive group.
With promotion to Division A on the line, every game will be crucial as GB look to continue the programme's upward trajectory and provide another important development opportunity for the country's brightest young talent.
The U18 Men are the first of Great Britain's four junior national teams to begin competition this summer.
The U18 Women travel to Tulcea, Romania, for the FIBA U18 Women's EuroBasket Division B from 1-9 August, where they will face Slovakia, Greece, North Macedonia and Denmark in Group D.
The U16 Boys will then compete in Skopje, North Macedonia, at the FIBA U16 EuroBasket Division B between 6-15 August, taking on Denmark, Austria, Hungary and Estonia in Group C.
Meanwhile, the U16 Girls head to Ioannina, Greece, for FIBA U16 Women's EuroBasket Division B (Tournament 3) from 6-11 August, where they have been drawn alongside Iceland and Norway in Group F.
