Great Britain Name Squad for FIBA U16 Women's EuroBasket Division B

The competition takes place from 6-11 August, with GB drawn into Group F alongside Iceland and Norway as they look to make their mark on the international stage.

A former Great Britain youth international, Milligan knows exactly what it means to represent the programme and is looking forward to guiding the next generation through their first major championship experience.

"It's a real honour to lead this group into the European Championships," said Milligan.

"Having represented Great Britain as a player at youth level, I know how special it is to wear the jersey, and I'm excited to help this next generation create memories of their own.

"We've got a talented, committed group who have embraced the challenge throughout our preparation, and we're looking forward to competing against some of Europe's best teams."

Great Britain begin their campaign against Iceland before facing Norway, with every game carrying significance as they look to progress through the tournament.

The championships provide another important opportunity for the country's emerging talent to test themselves in international competition while continuing their development in the Great Britain pathway.

The U16 Women complete a busy summer of junior international basketball for Great Britain. The U18 Men recently completed their FIBA U18 EuroBasket Division B campaign in Croatia, while the U18 Women are currently in action in Division B in Tulcea, Romania. The U16 Men also travel to Skopje, North Macedonia, where they will compete from 6-15 August.
