Great Britain U16, U18 teams FIBA EuroBasket Youth draws, venues finalised
All of Great Britain's U16 and U18 teams now know the venues and their opponents for this summer's FIBA Youth EuroBasket 2026 tournaments.
The initial draws took place in February with the GB male and female teams featuring in the Division B category.
The venue, draw and dates of the final outstanding competition - the U16 Women's Division B tournament - has now been confirmed with a revised format.
Instead of one tournament with all 19 registered national teams, it will be split into three 'mini-tournaments'.
GB will take part in Group F of Tournament 3 in Giannina, Greece with the winner of each 'mini-tournament' earning promotion to Division A in 2027.
The tournaments will feature a group phase of two pools with three or four teams followed by semi-finals plus medal and classification games.
Tournament schedule and draws
- 24 July-2 August: FIBA U18 EuroBasket 2026, Division B - Rijeka & Opatija, Croatia. Group C: Belgium, Great Britain, Finland, TBD, Netherlands, Cyprus
- 1-9 August: FIBA U18 Women’s EuroBasket 2026, Division B - Tulcea, Romania. Group D: Slovakia, Greece, North Macedonia, Denmark, Great Britain
- August 6-15: FIBA U16 EuroBasket 2026, Division B - Skopje, North Macedonia. Group C: Denmark, Austria, Hungary Estonia, Great Britain
- 6-11 August: FIBA U16 Women’s EuroBasket 2026, Division B (Tournament 3) - Giannina, Greece. Group F: Iceland, Norway, Great Britain
There are no GB teams entered at U20 level for this year’s tournaments.
