Great Britain U18 Women squad for FIBA U18 Women's EuroBasket Division B

The tournament gets underway on 31 July, with Great Britain drawn into Group D alongside Slovakia, Greece, North Macedonia and Denmark. The competition runs to 9 August, with promotion to Division A on the line.

The announcement follows the opening of Great Britain's junior international summer programme, with the U18 Men's team already underway in Croatia, while the U16 Men will travel to Skopje, North Macedonia, from 6-15 August, and the U16 Women will compete in Giannina, Greece, from 6-11 August.

After completing their preparation period, Liburd believes his squad is ready to embrace the challenge ahead.

“As a group, we've been working hard to prepare, and now that we're down to the final squad heading to the championships, there's a distinct shift in focus,” he said.

“Our primary goal is to play a style of basketball we can be truly proud of and give ourselves every opportunity to win, no matter who we face.

“We have a youthful, talented group paired with experienced campaigners, and I'm confident we'll be ready for whatever lies ahead.”

Great Britain open their campaign against Slovakia before facing Greece, North Macedonia and Denmark in the remaining group-stage fixtures, with every game carrying significance in the battle to progress through the competition, and free to watch live on the FIBA YouTube channel.

The championships provide another important opportunity for some of the country's brightest young prospects to gain valuable international experience while continuing their development on the European stage.
