Junior Final Fours 2026: Day two winners, recaps & gallery

Kingston Lions, Nottingham Wildcats, CoLA, Milton Keynes Breakers, London Elite and London Stars are this year's champions.

10am games - U16 Girls and U14 Boys

U16 Girls Final: Milton Keynes Breakers 60-66 Kingston Lions - LIVE STATS / LIVE STREAM

The Kingston Lions have won their first Jnr. Final Four title by beating the Milton Keynes Breakers 66-60 in Manchester.

A game of defensive presses – the Lions started the game confidently taking the first two quarters and a 36-27 lead at the half. However, the Breakers switched up their defence to a full-court press stopping their offensive leak and swinging the game in their favour with a 19-4 third frame.

With the game in danger of running away from them, the Lions also switched to a full court press late in the fourth – eventually finding themselves back on top and seven points clear (58-65) thanks to a crucial three from Nikita Cornford (11pts, 6rbs) with 30 seconds to go. Breakers answered with a two from Holly Smith-White but the game was done and the Lions victorious.

MVP spoils went the way of Lions’ Julia Bartnicka, who had a double-double of 17 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and a block to her name.

Also chipping in for the inaugural title was Ella-Rose Price who also had a double-double (11pts, 17rbs).

The runners-up taliswoman were Smith-White (18pts) and Chantelle Okoli (17pts, 9rbs).

U16 Girls 3/4 Playoff: Manchester Mystics 75-71 CoLA Southwark Pride - LIVE STATS / LIVE STREAM

In the U16 Girls 3/4 Playoff game, the Mystics beat CoLA 75-71 to take third. Mystics’ Luna Etienne top-scored with 26 points.

U14 Boys 3/4 Playoff: Milton Keynes Breakers 78-75 Richmond Knights - LIVE STATS / LIVE STREAM

Third was also shored up by the Milton Keynes Breakers and Kashope Nesi-Lawani (19pts) in the U14 Boys placing game after they beat Kingston Knights 78-75.

12:15pm games - U16 Boys and U14 Girls

U16 Boys Final: London Elite 82-80 Manchester Magic - LIVE STATS / LIVE STREAM

Runners-up no more. London Elite won the U16 Boys Jnr. Final Four title.

In a fantastic game versus Manchester Magic, the NPBC was captivated by the see-saw effect of two teams going at each other and trading baskets on every offence.

The opening frame set the tone, with the Elite up early before a dip in energy was capitalised on by the Northerners taking it 24-21.  

By the half, Magic were up 47-40.

End of the third it was 68-61 Magic and a ridiculously tight final 10-minutes ensued.

Then with 39 seconds to go in the fourth, Ege Cakmakkaya would make a two to bring the Magic within two (79-77), before Pawel Obadowski drilled in a three taking the Elite ahead (82-77).

The Magic answered without hesitation, as Olu Babalola knocked down his own three to keep his team's belief alive (82-80).

Leonardo Bowman for the Elite then made a cross-court pass but it slipped out of the fingers of his man and gave Magic the opportunity to go for a guts and glory three point attempt with 1.5 seconds on the clock.

Cakmakkaya got the fade away off but the ball hit the inside of the rim and bounced out.

Game over. Elite victorious.

Making the MVP choice was not an easy decision and could have gone the way of Bowman for his 21 points, seven rebounds and three assists, but it was his teammate Omer Zardok Shemer’s near triple-double (10pts, 8rbs, 10ast) that won him the mantle.  

Magic’s David Akhidime (14pts, 13rbs, 8ast) and Cakmakkaya (20pts, 8rbs, 7ast) could have easily been MVPs on any other day with their near triple-double performances as well

Theo Westwood top scored for the Magic (24pts) and Olu Babalola chipped in a significant contribution (10pts, 9rebs),

In the end, it was Elite’s superior middy game (42% from 2P) that kept them just a nose; a whisker ahead.

U14 Girls 3/4 Playoff: Sheffield Hatters 55-47 Solent Kestrels - LIVE STATS / LIVE STREAM

New faces in the Jnr. Final Four U14 Girls competition Sheffield Hatters won their 3/4 playoff against the Solent Kestrels 55-47, with Grace Roberts scoring a massive 22 points on 19 efficiency.

U16 Boys 3/4 Playoff: London Cavaliers 99-79 Sussex Storm - LIVE STATS / LIVE STREAM

Third place went the way of London Cavaliers in the U16 Boys 3/4 Playoff game, beating Sussex Storm 99-79. Cavs’ starter Muhamed Novolani had a monster game, scoring 32 points and collecting 12 rebounds.

2:30pm games - U18 Women and U14 Boys

U18 Women's Final: Nottingham Wildcats 62-58 CoLA Southwark Pride - LIVE STATS / LIVE STREAM

A changing of the guard has happened over the Jnr. Final Four weekend, as Nottingham Wildcats put the disappointments of the past behind them to win the U18 Women’s Final.

Matching up against serial-winners of this competition, CoLA, the Wildcats stayed the course in a close contest, winning 62-58.

After beating Endeavour Ipswich – the other dominant side in U18 women’s – in the semi-finals, the Wildcats then had to recoup and go again for the final.

But they were up for the challenge, storming out of the blocks to open a 14-point lead in the first quarter.

CoLA eked out a 15-12 second quarter to bring-down the deficit a little, but it wasn’t until the fourth quarter that they really got going and the comeback was on, making the most of fast-break buckets and trips to the line.

At the 37 second mark, the Wildcats dug in defensively and were able to keep the ball, frustrating CoLA and running the clock down.

And just like that after a decade of stories and victories from Ipswich and CoLA, a new chapter has been written.

Ultimately, the Wildcats made the most of their three-point threat, scoring 32% to CoLA’s 16% and their flourishing talent Tiarna Chambers-Desmond lead from the front.

She was named MVP for her 25-point, five-rebound performance, with team-mates Ophelia Larder-Lee (11pts) and Mateya-Yoanna Georgieva (15pts) making significant contributions to the playoff win.

The CoLA fight-back was lead by Chloe Vella (20pts, 20rbs) and captain Eva-Grace Yebila (10pts, 11rebs) who both had industrious double-doubles.

U18 Women's 3/4 Playoff: Wolverhampton SLAM 29-70 Endeavour Ipswich - LIVE STATS / LIVE STREAM

In contrast, the U18 Women’s 3/4 was a one-sided affair, with Endeavour Ipswich winning comfortably 70-29 against Wolverhampton SLAM.

Ipswich’s Jahveina Whyte had an impressive stat line from the game of 25 points and 20 rebounds.

U14 Boys Final: London Stars 98-61 Reading Rockets - LIVE STATS / LIVE STREAM

In the U14 Boys Final London Stars beat Reading Rockets 98-61.

The Stars were dominant for much of the game, winning three quarters and shooting a near-50% FG.

One to watch for the Stars Kajus Visockas almost top-scored with 32 points, only to be outdone by his team-mate Lucas Edwards, who had 33.

Olu Akinlabi added 18 to the Stars’ cause as they forgot about the runner-up disappointment of last season to celebrate a well won final.  

Rockets’ Caleb Alozie scored 16.

4:45pm games - U18 Men and U14 Girls

U18 Men's Final: CoLA Southwark 75-58 London Elite - LIVE STATS / LIVE STREAM

CoLA have won the U18 Men’s Jnr Final Four title, confidently beating London Elite 75-58.

Adding this chip to their Sure Shot National Cup and Eastern Premier titles means they enter the off-season as treble-winners.

CoLA started the game with intent and with an energy that this playoff title would be theirs.

They won three of four quarters, moving the ball well and getting it to their big men in the paint, who dominated, scoring 57% (to Elite's 28%) of their points inside.

Elite never gave up the chase, however – and both teams gave the crowd at NBPC plenty of highlight reel plays to cheer for - but CoLA had the competence when it mattered.

Four of CoLA’s starters were in double digits Jacob Hannick (17), Daniel and David Banjoko (20 and 10 respectively), and Andrew Nkwolo (10).

Daniel Banjoko was awarded the MVP title for his performance, which included hitting 100% from the three.

Leading Elite’s charge was Eli Zardok Shemer (22pts, 5rbs), with Amani Kasseyet (15) and Ismail Ahmed (10) also did their bit. 

U18 Men's 3/4 Playoff: Sussex Storm 81-72 Solent Kestrels - LIVE STATS / LIVE STREAM

In the U18 Men's 3/4 Playoff, last year’s champions Sussex Storm made sure they went home with a piece of silverware even if wasn’t the colour they were after. They beat Solent Kestrels 81-72 to finish third. Storm’s prolific guard Jamaul Mcallister had 39 points on 11-19 field goals.

U14 Girls Final: Manchester Mystics 62-74 Milton Keynes Breakers - LIVE STATS / LIVE STREAM

In the U14 Girls Final, Milton Keynes Breakers made good on their title defence beating Manchester Mystics 74-62.

Breakers made the most of the Mystics 46 turnovers, turning 37 of those into scoring opportunities.

For the Breakers Holly Smith-White and Mia Wilson did the business for their club, with the former recording a 29-point, 11-rebound double-double and latter knocking down 22-points. Sara Ryan also scored 11 points for MK.

Despite the loss Elsa Critchley had a great game of 23 points and 20 rebounds and should take home her silver medal with her head held high.
