NBL D1 Preview (7/8 Mar 2026) - Live Stats, streaming, schedule and more

Worcester, Myerscough and Birmingham City University will battle it out for Pool A's top spot, but it's the Wolves who have the advantage as they just need to beat St Helens to secure first place thanks to their superior head-to-head records.

In Pool B, Barnet can put the pressure on current leaders Solent if they can win Friday night's clash against Richmond, but even if they do, Solent can still finish off their last two games unbeaten to take the title.

Barking can get into the mix if they can win their remaining games, including Sunday's matchup with Richmond, but like Barnet, they still need Solent to falter if they're going to make a move.

In the list below, a * is for Pool A games, and a + is for Pool B games.

Pool A's likely trio

Pool A remains as tight as ever, with teams now heading into the final batch of games.

Worcester's plight remains simple if they want to be regular-season champs. Beat St Helens and top spot is theirs.

Both BCU and Myerscough need the Wolves to falter, and if they don't, they'll likely be playing each other for second place on Sunday. If the title is still on the table and St Helens come through for the pair, it's worth noting that BCU beat Myerscough 80-78 when the pair first met in mid-October.

There's still a scenario where six teams could finish the season at 16-6, showing just how much parity has been on display in Pool A this season.

Nearly done in Pool B

Barnet's home loss to Solent last week means the Bulldogs are now long shots for the title, but they can still push the Kestrels right to finish line in the hopes of a mistake.

Richmond are Barnet's final opponents of the season, with a rare Friday night encounter to finish things off.

That means Solent will know exactly what is required of them before they tip off against CoLA on Sunday, but they do also have the extra cushion of their finale being away to London Stars on 15 March.

Barking still have a shot to finish anywhere in the top three, depending how results unfold. Much depends on their still to be rearranged clash with London Elite, though they hold the head-to-head tiebreaker with both Barnet and Solent should the sides need to be split come season's end.

BA host Richmond on Sunday, with the hosts needing to win all of their remaining games to realistically have a shot at the title.
