NBL D1 Recap (13/14 Dec 2025) - results, stats, streams and more

Upset wins for Oxford, Teesside and Sheffield Sharks II cast another exciting slant onto the Pool A standings, while Solent and London Stars made use of limited Pool B action to progress their claims for regular-season glory.

In the list below, a * is for Pool A games, and a + is for Pool B games.

Standout performances

Oxford Hoops' first win of the season, 68-64 against Manchester, provided a bump in the road for Magic's top-four hopes as Patrick Wrencher Jr provided a quality outing for the resilient home team.

Fellow Pool A struggles Teesside Lions also notched a rare victory, playing hard to beat Leicester 76-74, with both teams closing the gap on Cardiff in 10th as they went down 76-54 at Myerscough.

Plenty went right for BCU at the top of Pool A, beating Sheffield Arrows 111-79 as rivals Worcester lost out 75-72 on the road against Sheffield Sharks II via a late Declan Kom triple.

Pool B now has a pair of leaders as Solent's 85-75 win over Greenwich takes them level with previous top dogs Barnet, with London Stars keeping themselves in the mix as they knocked off London Elite 96-88.

In Sunday's only game, Liverpool used a 34-20 fourth quarter to stun St Helens, leaving town with an 82-78 victory after trailing by as many as 14 points late in the third.

What does it mean for the standings? 

BCU will finish 2025 top of Pool A after their win and a Worcester loss, though the Wolves can still pull level next weekend if they can beat Sheffield Arrows as Birmingham turn their attention to the NBL National Cup.

Wins for Myerscough and Liverpool place the duo firmly in the top four hunt, with the Arrows, St Helens and Manchester all keeping tabs on that race.

Successes for Oxford and Teesside brings both teams back towards Cardiff and Leicester above, but there is still a gap between the bottom two and safety.

Pool B only provided two games on the weekend but that was enough for Solent to move into a share of top spot and London Stars to tuck in nicely just behind, two points off the leaders.

Player-of-the-week candidates 

Double-doubles from Patrick Wrencher Jr (13pts, 16reb) and Jamie Cummins (22pts, 11reb) ere the catalyst for Oxford's maiden win of 2025/26, with Olivier Esingle providing a team-high 21 points for Myerscough in their win against Cardiff to cancel out 24 points on 10/12 shooting for the Archers' Shayne Scruggs.

Arrows' Hamza Ibrahim and BCU duo Ronald Oberia and Sam Toluwase all shone in Pool A's standout clash, and double-doubles from Hector Omitowoju (12pts, 10reb) and Elhadji Ndaw (11pts, 13reb) helped Teesside to their second win of the season.

Five triples helped Solent's Ethan Round to a 30-point haul against Greenwich, with Titans' Isaac Temilola firing back with 26 points and nine boards of his own.

Oscar Baldwin (14pts, 13reb, 5ast) was the hero for Sheffield Sharks II in their upset win over Worcester, and Liverpool's Torin Dubiel (18pts, 6reb) provided 11 of his side's final 14 points as the visitors capped off their wild come back against St Helens.
