Men's National Cup Final set, NBL D1 Recap (20/21 Dec 2025) - results, stats, streams and more

The NBL National Cup Final is set as Solent Kestrels and Manchester Magic will go head-to-head for the first piece of silverware of the season next month.

Worcester won Pool A's only game to finish 2025 in joint top spot, and Barnet will lead Pool B into the new year after they hammered Greenwich Titans.

In the list below, a * is for Pool A games, and a + is for Pool B games.

NBL National Cup

Four-time winners Manchester Magic will take on 2021/22 champs Solent Kestrels for this season's NBL National Cup after both sides came through this weekend's semi-finals.

Magic had no problem handing a first loss of the year to D2's Oaklands Wolves, winning 90-60 behind a 28-9 opening quarter and 21 points from Demi Babalola.

Jack Walton's 19 points and six assists provided solid support, meaning Matthew Disu's 21 points would be in vain for the travelling Wolves.

Solent won the battle of D1M's big guns, taking down Pool A high flyers BCU 84-54.

Holding their opponents to just 29% shooting, the Kestrels ran away with the game after their lead touched double digits early in the first quarter, never looking back from there.

Luke Busumbru top scored with 26 points for the hosts to go with 10 rebounds and six assists, with Sam Toluwase (18pts) providing the main source of resistance for BCU.

Standout NBL1 performances

Worcester ended the year on a high by pulling into a share of top spot in Pool A, knocking off Sheffield Arrows 78-72 thanks to 13 points apiece from Earl Burgess, Dume Okibe and Emmanuel Yeboah.

Barnet showed no signs of rust after their recent fixture gap as they returned to action with a thumping 110-56 win over Greenwich as Sable Cooper poured in four triples and 23 points for the visitors.

An 18/12 double-double from Charlie Ollis helped Cobham Cobras to an 80-67 victory against Pool B's bottom side London Elite, and Barking nabbed a thrilled in Sunday's only game, beating rivals CoLA Southwark Pride 70-68 after a period of OT.

What does it mean for the standings? 

BCU and Worcester will share top spot in Pool A heading into 2026 as both teams end the year on 20 points. Myerscough sit in third, with Liverpool and Sheffield Arrows battling for the final playoff spot.

Barnet remain top dogs in the South after their eighth win of the season, leading Solent, Barking and London Stars to round out the top four.

Player-of-the-week candidates 

Double-doubles from Okibe (13pts, 10reb) and Burgess (13pts, 12reb) helped Worcester past Sheffield Arrows, cancelling out an impressive 27 points from Kunal Bagga.

Charlie Ollis (18pts, 12reb) was the star man for Cobham as they saw off London Elite despite 23 points from Bakary Coulibali, and Ellis Tomking (18pts, 12reb) was the hero for Barking, countering a 19/12 double-double from CoLA's Toby Gass.
