NBL D1 Recap (24/25 Jan 2026) - results, stats, streams and more

BCU, Liverpool and Myerscough all picked up wins in Pool A, with Barnet moving back into a tie at the top of Pool B as they saw off London Lions II.

In the list below, a * is for Pool A games, and a + is for Pool B games.

Standout performances

BCU rose back to the top of Pool A after they eased past Sheffield Sharks II 99-73.

An even opening quarter gave way to a 38-13 second, putting BCU on the path back to the top of the standings thanks to a big game from Sam Toluwase.

Myerscough grabbed a statement win on the road against Sheffield Arrows, coming through 84-70 on Friday night to put a dent in the Arrows' title plans.

Liverpool also picked up a win, erasing a five-point Leicester Warriors half time lead to eventually win out 97-87 after a period of OT.

The Warriors had looked done before sinking a last-second heave from deep to force OT, but the hosts regrouped and got the job done in the extra frame.

In Pool B's only game Barnet made it ten wins out of 11 for the season, winning all four quarters to slowly pull away from London Lions II 83-60.

What does it mean for the standings? 

BCU are once again top dogs in Pool A, picking up their 13th win of the season to move two points clear.

Myerscough's victory was a big one in the battle for the top four, pulling level with the Arrows at 10-5, with Liverpool now narrowly behind at 10-6 after their OT win.

Pool B is a joint race at the top between Barnet and Barking, with both teams tied on 20 points ahead of Solent on 18.

The Lions' latest loss leaves them further away from the playoff spots, six points off the top four.

Player-of-the-week candidates 

With a reduced slate of games there's no Team of the Week, but some players still put their hat into the ring for POTW honours.

Twenty points from Harry Sheehan were the driving force for Myerscough, cancelling out an 11/12 double-double from Mahamud Ibrahim and 20 points from Hamza Ibrahim.

BCU's high-scoring win provided plenty of impressive stat-lines, led by Sam Toluwase's 38 points and a near triple-double from Reiss Faure-Daley (7pts, 11reb, 12ast). Ronald Oberia chipped in 26 points, leaving Sheffield's Oscar Baldwin to counter with 18 points and nine boards.

Louis Rogerson-Evans (31pts, 10reb, 6ast, 4stl) had a big game for Liverpool as Philip Deveney added 18 more, with Leicester's Malik Legania (23pts, 7reb) also playing well.

Sable Cooper was another putting up big numbers, with 31 points, five rebounds, six assists and five steals in the Bulldogs' win against London Lions II as Lebron Roach (24pts, 10reb) enjoyed a double-double in reply.
