NBL D1 Recap (3/4 Jan 2026) - results, stats, streams and more

Solent took the big game of the weekend in Pool B to continue their hot form, with wins elsewhere for Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield Arrows, CoLA and London Stars.

In the list below, a * is for Pool A games, and a + is for Pool B games.

Standout performances

The big result of the weekend saw Solent Kestrels continue their quest to top Pool B with a 71-59 victory over Barking Abbey in a repeat of last season's D2 Playoff Final.

Solent won each of the game's first three quarters to build a 13-point lead, fending off a third-quarter fightback from BA to see the game home.

Pool A trio Liverpool, Manchester and Sheffield Arrows all strengthened their push for a top-four playoff spot as they picked up wins of their own.

Liverpool beat Sheffield Sharks II 60-51, Magic hammered Leicester 106-65, whilst the Arrows enjoyed strong performances from Diogo Soares and Mahamud Ibrahim to knock off struggling Teesside Lions 98-83.

London Stars did the same in Pool B as they eased past London Lions II 96-75 thanks to a Ryan Martin triple-double, and CoLA kept London Elite winless for another week as they came out on top 79-74.

What does it mean for the standings? 

Solent continue their tussle with Barnet at the top of Pool B as Barking fall back into the mix for third and fourth with London Stars.

The top of Pool A is unchanged, allowing Arrows, Liverpool and Magic to all stay in the mix for the playoff spots.

Teesside's loss keeps the North East side in the relegation spots, two points from potential safety, whilst London Elite drop to 0-11 at the foot of Pool B.

Player-of-the-week candidates 

Manchester's Pharroh Gordon (28pts, 10reb) impressed in Magic's rout of Leicester, as did Sion Gordon (15pts, 6reb) and Demi Babalola (14pts, 9reb) as the trio more than cancelled out 22 points and eight rebounds from Malik Legania.

Fifteen points from Kaphel Ulett-Waul paced Liverpool in their win in South Yorkshire, and Nojus Zajankauskas (32pts, 3reb, 3ast) and Ryan Martin (14pts, 14reb, 11ast) both shone for the Stars against London Lions II.

Andre Arissol's (feature image) 25-point, seven-rebound, five-steal performance for Solent against Barking puts him into the mix for honours, and he's joined by team-mate Luke Busumbru (15pts, 7reb, 4ast) after another strong showing to counter a Kervy Mabaya 14/10 double-double for BA.

Elsewhere, Arrows' trio Diogo Soares (19pts, 11reb), Hamza Ibrahim (23pts, 19reb) and Mahamud Ibrahim (22pts, 8reb) all combined to down Teesside Lions despite an impressive 27 points from Miles Felletti-O’Donnell.
