NBL/WNBL Players and Teams of the Week - 13/14 Dec 2025

How it works

Each week, a standout player plus four other worthy selections will be put forward to make the Player and Team Of The Week in both D1M and D1W, paying attention to the following criteria:

• Efficiency
• Stats
• Team and opposition strength
• Periods of influence in the game
• Being on a winning team (exceptional performances from players on losing teams will be considered for TOTW)

Players of the Week

Two Player of the Week performances, both standing out for different reasons.

Certainly, there were D1M outings this weekend with bigger numbers, but in terms of putting together a key performance for your team, Sheffield Sharks II's Oscar Baldwin ticked all the right boxes.

When 9-3 Worcester came calling to the 4-6 Sharks, Baldwin wasn't feeling like a friendly host, sending the Wolves packing with a 75-72 final score, adding 14 points on 57% shooting to a game-high 13 rebounds and tied team-highs for assists and steals.

The victory will no doubt give the South Yorkshire outfit plenty of faith that they can push up the standings in 2026, potentially snagging a playoff spot in the process, and they can thank Baldwin for their latest dose of confidence.

On the other side of the coin is CoLA's Adaora Dioramma, who's numbers for points and rebounds were both D1W weekend-highs.

Nobody could stop Pride's young forward as she scored over 40% of her side's total singlehandedly, putting her haul together in just 30:20 of action and providing a stat line that was impossible to ignore.

Dioramma continues to be one of the stars of D1W, and until she departs at season's end for NCAA D1 outfit Hofstra, opponents will have to try and find a way to slow her down.

D1M Team of the Week

Oscar Baldwin - Sheffield Sharks II (14pts, 13reb, 5ast, 3stl, 28eff)

Jamie Cummins - Oxford Hoops (22pts, 11reb, 2ast, 2blk, 24eff)

Hector Omitowoju - Teesside Lions (12pts, 10reb, 2ast, 3stl, 22eff)

Sam Toluwase - Birmingham City University (26pts, 6reb, 3ast, 3stl, 25eff)

Ethan Round - Solent Kestrels (30pts, 6reb, 3ast, 3stl, 32eff)

Baldwin's inclusion in the TOTW is automatic, and he's joined by some new faces to the D1M weekly team.

Jamie Cummins and Patrick Wrencher Jr. were both big players in Oxford's 68-64 upset win over Manchester, but it was Cummins' 22 points and turnover-free 25:14 of action that got him the nod this week.

Likewise, there were more than a few Teesside players who put their hand up for the honours after they surprised Leicester 76-74 on the road. Hector Omitowoju's 12/10 double-double was the performance that won out, adding two assists and a trio of steals to just pip the likes of Jaydon Wise-Malcolm, Elhadji Ndaw and Miles Felletti-O’Donnell.

Two more familiar faces to the TOTW make the grade once again in the form of BCU's Sam Toluwase and Solent's Ethan Round.

Toluwase's team-high 26 points helped Birmingham to navigate another standout performance from Hamza Ibrahim, whilst Round's 30-point haul included five triples, adding six rebounds, three assists, three steals and a block to stuff the stat sheet.

D1W Team of the Week

Louisa Gibbins - Loughborough Riders (15pts, 6reb, 2ast, 4stl, 3blk, 22eff)

Success Odemwingie - Manchester Mystics (15pts, 14reb, 2ast, 3stl, 23eff)

Ciani Montgomery - Worcester Wolves (27pts, 5reb, 2ast, 3stl, 25eff)

Dioramma's standout performance allows the young forward to slot straight into the TOTW where she's joined by a pair of Loughborough standouts following their second win of the season.

Seventeen points on 55% shooting for Caitlin Ryan went with six stops at the other end (three steals, three blocks) for a great two-way performance, as team-mate Gibbins enjoyed her own efficient outing, netting 15 points on 66% shooting to go with six boards, four steals and three blocks.

Manchester's Success Odemwingie is making herself a key part of the Mystics rotation after going from strength-to-strength in the opening half of the season. Odemwingie's latest outing, a 73-50 road win in Bristol, included a 15/14 double-double on 53% shooting to go with a tied game-high for steals.

That just leaves Worcester's Ciani Montgomery to round out this week's line up. Finishing on the wrong end of a 78-56 score line against CoLA, the American still managed an impressive 27 points on 55% shooting against one of the league's best defences, as the Wolves continue to battle on without a number of their key players.
