NBL/WNBL Players of the Week - (11/12 Apr 2026)

With just the playoff finals now remaining, this week's picks signal the end of the individual and team honours for 2025/26.

How it works

Each week, a standout player plus four other worthy selections will be put forward to make the Player and Team Of The Week in both D1M and D1W, paying attention to the following criteria:

• Efficiency
• Stats
• Team and opposition strength
• Periods of influence in the game
• Being on a winning team (exceptional performances from players on losing teams will be considered for TOTW)

NBL Division One

Across the two semi-finals, there was a clear standout for this week's honour as Worcester's Earl Burgess continued to show why he's considered one of the Players of the Season hopefuls in D1M.

The Wolves booked their ticket to Manchester thanks to an 82-66 win over Manchester, but that win came courtesy of a late 17-1 streak that pushed the hosts to victory, with Burgess providing a steal, two rebounds and three points in that run.

Overall, the talented forward closed with a game-high 26 points, 10 points more than his nearest team-mate, and 13 rebounds were also a game-high as Burgess completed his double-double.

Three assists and a pair of steals provided additional value, and a +/- of 19 in the 16-point win further underlined Burgess' standout performance.

WNBL Division One

League winners and #1 seeds London Cavaliers are heading to the Playoff Final and they have forward Mrashi Karumba-Roberts to thank, as she produced a sizable double-double in the 75-61 victory over Endeavour Ipswich Basketball.

Team-mate Janice Monakana may have narrowly topped her points tally (21 vs 20) and Chinwe Iwunze may have bested her on the glass (21 vs 15), but Karumba-Roberts put up great numbers in both categories, bagging her haul on a solid 42% shooting (6/14 FGs).

Her +/- of 19 in the 14-point win was a plus, and three defensive stops alongside just two turnovers in 33:31 of action made the Cavs' standout a solid choice for the final POTW nod of the season.
