NBL/WNBL Players of the Week - 24/25 Jan 2026

How it works

Each week, a standout player plus four other worthy selections will be put forward to make the Player and Team Of The Week in both D1M and D1W, paying attention to the following criteria:

• Efficiency
• Stats
• Team and opposition strength
• Periods of influence in the game
• Being on a winning team (exceptional performances from players on losing teams will be considered for TOTW)

D1M 

Liverpool needed a period of OT to see off Leicester 97-87, but they owe plenty to shooting guard Louis Rogerson-Evans as he poured in a game-high 31 points to get the hosts over the line.

Hitting 68% of his shots (13/19 FGs), Rogerson-Evans sealed a double-double with 10 rebounds, adding six assists and four steals for a massive 39 efficiency showing.

The Liverpool man dropped eight points, dished an assist and nabbed a steal in the OT period alone, helping his side to win the extra frame 19-9, and with it, the game.

D1W

There may of only been two games to pick from, but Worcester's Ciani Montgomery came through with a stat line against Bristol that would have been in the mix across any weekend.

Helping the Wolves to a 70-54 road win, Montgomery enjoyed a game-high 23 points on 45% shooting (10/22 FGs), but her influence didn't stop there.

Six steals were also a game-high, and nine rebounds were a team-high, demonstrating the American's impact at both ends of the court.

No player could top Montgomery's +/- of +17 either, topping off a great day at the office for the Worcester star.
