NBL/WNBL Players of the Week - (7/8 Feb 2026)

How it works

Each week, a standout player plus four other worthy selections will be put forward to make the Player and Team Of The Week in both D1M and D1W, paying attention to the following criteria:

• Efficiency
• Stats
• Team and opposition strength
• Periods of influence in the game
• Being on a winning team (exceptional performances from players on losing teams will be considered for TOTW)

Players of the Week

Sheffield Arrows make it back-to-back awards after scoring machine Hamza Ibrahim followed team-mate Diogo Soares in becoming the latest D1M Player of the Week.

Ibrahim continued his incredible season with another huge performance, dropping 31 points as the Arrows edged a strong St Helens side 86-84 in a top-half-of-the-table clash.

As usual, the Sheffield man coupled high-scoring with plenty of production elsewhere, adding 18 rebounds and five assists for an impressive 36 efficiency outing.

With 25.1PPG and 27.7 efficiency per game across 2025/26 so far, all eyes will be on Ibrahim to see if he can increase his output further and break into the league's history books by the end of the regular season.

D1W honours go to Loughborough's Louisa Gibbins as she gave the Riders' survival chances a huge boost with a standout performance against Manchester.

Coming into the contest as title challengers, Manchester's hopes were dealt a huge blow by Gibbins and Co. as the hosts enjoyed a narrow 67-64 win.

Upsetting one of the league's leading lights with a 16-point, nine-rebound, six-assist effort, and combining it with the big gap between Manchester and Loughborough in the standings, was always going to make Gibbins this week's top POTW contender despite some impressive numbers elsewhere.

D1M Team of the Week

Ibrahim leads a strong team from the latest batch of D1M contests, and it speaks volumes about the quality of those included that this week's honourable mentions wouldn't look out of place as a TOTW of their own on another weekend.

The high standard starts with Leicester's Jaguar Jackson, who nailed seven threes as part of his 30-point outing, coupling that with eight assists to make a huge impact in a valuable win for the Warriors.

Barnet's Sable Cooper put together not one but two standout performances in Pool B, helping the Bulldogs move back to top spot after his side dispatched both Cobham and London Lions II.

St Helens were unfortunate to not only come up against Hamza Ibrahim on Saturday, but Manchester's Aaron Bile on Sunday. The Magic shooter enjoyed a productive outing against the Saints, dropping 29 points on 57% shooting that included a perfect 6/6 from the foul line.

The five is rounded out by another Manchester man in the shape of Dan Davies. The young forward produced a big double-double display that helped to down Pool A title hopefuls BCU, displaying the 22-year-old's clear potential in the process.

Louisa Gibbins slots straight into the five as POTW and is joined by former Ipswich team-mate Harriet Welham after her explosive scoring exploits against Bromsgrove.

London Cavaliers' Chinwe Iwunze continued her fine season with another sizable contribution against London All Stars, and CoLA's Debra Wilson-Osuide played well at both ends of the court for Pride in their narrow win against Brent.

Ciani Montgomery may have been on the wrong end of the final score for Worcester against Anglia Ruskin but her personal production was undeniable, coming close to a double-double and shooting at a 68% rate for her 27 points.
