W/EABL Players of the Week (19 Nov 2025)

You can have your say on this week’s selections and give a shout-out to the players you think deserve one on the Academy League channels.

How it works

Each week, a standout player plus four other worthy selections will be put forward to make the Player and Team Of The Week in both the EABL and WEABL, paying attention to the following criteria:

• Efficiency
• Stats
• Team and opposition strength
• Periods of influence in the game
• Being on a winning team (exceptional performances from players on losing teams will be considered for TOTW)

Players of the Week

After making a huge impact in one of the EABL's most anticipated games, Myerscough's Zach Trezvant receives recognition for his part in 'Sco's 81-79 road victory against Charnwood.

Putting back the game-winning tip in as time all but expired, Trezvant's final basket finished off a 22-point, 13-rebound double-double, with four assists, two steals and two blocks. Scoring seven of his side's last nine points, the talented young forward made a huge impact when it mattered most.

"I felt I played well, but I credit my teammates with my performance," said Trezvant. "It felt good to win at Charnwood but there is a lot more to come from us."

Myerscough Head Coach Lewis Scott added: "We are all really happy with Zach and the progress he is making. His ability to mix up his role in the game against Charnwood was a great asset for us.

"The game winner may be what's remembered, but his impact on defence should be something he is proud of."

The WEABL award was an incredibly close run thing, with four legitimate contenders for this week's pick.

In the end Nottingham's Ophelia Larder-Lee just did enough to get herself ahead, dropping an impressive stat line on MK5D in the Wildcats' 104-41 win.

Going 12/16 from the floor for a 75% shooting day, Larder-Lee finished with 28 points alongside eight rebounds, four assists and six steals, a game-day high across the league.

“I’m very excited to have started my first season at the Wildcats," said Larder-Lee, who did her damage in just 27:13 of action.

"We’ve had a great start to the Academy season so far and I’m really looking forward to playing with this team for the rest of the season and to continue winning."

Nottingham head coach Siobhán Prior added: “Having Ophelia in our programme has really helped to elevate our environment.

"Yes, she is able to score at will and is one of the most elite defenders I’ve seen at her age, but it’s really her consistency, discipline and emotional resilience that is setting the tone for everyone else.

"Her response to mistakes and adversity and her willingness to give everything she has every moment she is on the floor is irreplaceable.”

Tristan Curran - Charnwood College Riders (31pts, 8reb, 3ast, 5stl, 30eff)

POTW Trezvant is joined by another North West standout in Demi Babalola, who stuffed the stat sheet for Manchester Magic in their 95-65 victory against BMet.

Luca Bakary was the main man for HHS Reading Rockets as they picked up their first win of the season, providing a team-high 17 points in the 61-50 road win against Copleston.

CoLA's Daniel Banjoko goes back-to-back in the TOTW after another solid outing, shooting an efficient 6/9 FGs (including 6/7 2PT FG) alongside an impressive defensive performance that contained five steals.

The side is rounded out by Tristan Curran, who was unfortunate to finish on the losing side for Charnwood against Myerscough considering his final stat line.

POTW Larder-Lee leads the way, headlining an incredibly strong quintet for the week.

Maisie Keyes missed Copleston's opening game of the season, a loss to Itchen, and returns with a stat line that shows why she's so important to the Copleston programme. She was outstanding in the 75-43 victory, filling the stat sheet with game-highs in both points and assists.

Team mate Holly Ensoll's role for Copleston has grown dramatically since 2024/25, and the talented forward has repaid that decision significantly following another breakout performance. Her eight blocks were a sure sign of things to come, and a 23-point, 15-rebound double-double is a sizable uptick on last season's 7.9PPG, 9.3RPG averages.

The Sheffield College's Isabelle Dalmedo was also heavily in the POTW discussion after her outing vs BMET, scoring the ball at a 65% rate to make up a double-double of 32 points and 10 boards.

CoLA's Adaora Dioramma remains in the TOTW with a stat line that could have seen her as a POTW candidate on many other occasions. It wasn't to be given the quartet of 35+ efficiency outings elsewhere, but Dioramma's 18-point, 18-rebound effort still deserves plenty of attention.
