W/EABL Players of the Week (25 Feb 2026)

How it works

Without enough games this week to pick out a full team, a standout player has been put forward as the the Player of the Week in both the EABL and WEABL, paying attention to the following criteria:

• Efficiency
• Stats
• Team and opposition strength
• Periods of influence in the game
• Being on a winning team

EABL

First-year standout Ethan Harrington finished his season on a high as his performance helped HHS past Copleston 60-48 in the league's only contest.

Harrington continued to show his potential with a well-rounded 13 points, adding in nine rebounds (five on offence), four steals and a pair of assists for a do-it-all performance.

"I'm really blessed to be named Player of the Week," said Harrington. "It’s been a hard season but we have finished the campaign strong and look forward to what’s ahead."

HHS head coach Samit Nuruzade added: "I am really pleased for Ethan as he has had a really good season in the EABL and at U18s level, and has also been training really well with our BCB team.

"It’s a great accolade for him to end the regular season."

WEABL

Faith Deakin finished the regular season on a high with some lights-out play against BMet.

Stuffing the stat sheet with some eye-catching numbers, the talented young guard notched a triple-double alongside four assists, helping MK5D roll into the playoffs with real momentum.

"I’m really happy and grateful to receive this award," Deakin said.

"We’ve really worked hard as a team over the season and that showed in this game where everyone performed and contributed.

"We’re looking forward to the playoffs and are excited for the opportunity."

MK5D head coach Paige Vyse added: "Faith's hard work and dedication is admirable. She’s worked incredibly hard over the past two years, and this award highlights her player development throughout the season.

"We’re looking ahead to playoffs, and I’m excited to see what she and the team can achieve."
