W/NBL Playoff Recap (11/12 Mar 2026) - finals set, results, stats and more

Both D1M pool winners progressed, with Solent and Worcester now set to do battle for NBL glory.

D1W league winners London Cavaliers also punched their ticket to Manchester, but #2 seeds CoLA couldn't follow them as the back-to-back defending champs were dumped out by Anglia Ruskin University.

There were no surprises in the D1M semi-finals, with both top seeds progressing to Manchester's NBPC at the end of the month.

Solent won the rematch of last season's D2M Final, beating Barking Abbey 65-50.

The hosts looked to have come unstuck following a 15-6 third frame but regrouped over the final ten minutes to take the fourth quarter 26-16 and keep the Kestrels' hopes of adding to their three D1M playoff titles alive.

Andre Arissol (19pts, 5reb, 4ast) continued to show his value for the South coast side, with Greg Durand providing a useful nine-point, 13-rebound performance.

Joshua Mendes (19pts, 6reb) capped an impressive campaign with another solid outing for the Londoners, but their playoff run would fall short at Solent's hands for another season.

In the all-Pool A clash, Worcester Wolves got the job done with an 82-66 victory against Manchester Magic.

A late Worcester charge put a lopsided slant on an otherwise even game, with both teams tied at 65 with 4:54 to go.

The Wolves would grab the initiative from there, reeling off a 17-1 run to progress, leaving the visitors to wonder what might have been.

Worcester's standout forward Earl Burgess (26pts, 13reb) added another double-double to his mounting collection for the year, with support coming from Emmanuel Yeboah (16pts, 5reb) and Humberto Ferreira (15pts, 6reb).

Short-handed Manchester had a seven-man rotation for the duration and were led by young guard Jack Walton (24pts), who hit five triples in the contest.

Anglia Ruskin went to CoLA and upset defending champs Pride 60-53, erasing a double-digit first half deficit to book their first Playoff Final appearance since they won it all in 2018/19.

CoLA have won back-to-back titles but it won't be three in a row as Tia Freeman (17pts, 4reb, 4ast) and Faye Parker (15pts, 9reb) helped get the visitors over the line.

The hosts were held to just 25% shooting, lagging behind ARU's 42%, as D1W set its sights on a first Playoff Final without CoLA's involvement since 2018/19 when ARU beat Reading Rockets.

Pride were led by 17 points from Chandera Jones-Aryeh and 12 more from Ayla Habbal.

League winners London Cavaliers had no problem keeping their own playoff hopes alive, beating #4 seeds Ipswich 75-61.

Forwards Janice Monakana (21pts, 7reb) and Mrashi Karumba-Roberts (20pts, 15reb) both dominated, with Ipswich missing their own standout forward in Maya Price, who proved to be a costly absence given the flow of the game.

The league winners continued their recent fine form with a 24-16 second quarter, easing into a lead they'd never relinquish as they continue their hunt for a maiden top flight title.

After collecting a D1W-low 13.4 fouls per contest in the regular season, Ipswich picked up 26 infractions in the win-or-go-home tie, fouling out four players and providing the hosts with 43 free throw attempts.

Harriet Welham's 29 points were the main point of resistance for the visitors, who's wait to add to their lone 2020/21 playoff crown goes on.

A pair of unbeaten records will be on the line for this season's D2M showpiece after wins for Oaklands Wolves and Gloucester City Kings.

The Wolves used 30 points from Kane Daley to narrowly edge Sussex Storm 78-74, with Malachi Boakye-Yiadom (28pts) a standout for the visitors.

Pool C winners Gloucester City had a hard-fought win of their own, edging past Tees Valley Mohawks 77-75.

The visitors gave themselves a real chance of progressing thanks to a game-high 21 points from Cam Schainfeld, but 16 points apiece from the Kings' Roosevelt Davis and Rhys Farrell kept the host's season alive.

Two Pool winners entered into the D2W semi-finals but only one emerged as Barking Abbey punched their ticket to Manchester whilst Milton Keynes Breakers will go no further.

Barking took top spot in Pool B and are now one game away from this year's title after they beat Hemel Storm 62-56, but it wasn't to be for last season's beaten finalists MK as they went down 74-69 at home to East London Phoenix.

33 points from Elizabeth Esan and 25 more from Teniyah Crenshaw-Patterson proved too much for the Breakers to overcome, with Sarah Round (25pts) leading the scoring for the hosts.
