WNBL D1 Preview (10/11 Jan 2026) - Live Stats, streaming, schedule and more

Manchester Mystics host CoLA in the pick of the weekend's action as the pair of nine-win sides battle for outright ownership of top spot.

There are four other contests elsewhere as the likes of Ipswich and ARU look to further their top-four ambitions, and Bromsgrove clash with London All Stars in a match up that could affect the bottom of the standings.

Top two go at it

All eyes will be on Manchester this Saturday as the Mystics host rivals CoLA Southwark Pride.

Locked together on 18 points, both sides could grab the upper hand in the title race with a successful result.

Head-to-head tiebreakers could also be important, with Pride securing a 66-53 victory in London back in mid-October. That means Manchester will likely need to win by 14 or more to secure the tiebreaker should the teams finish level on points at the end of the regular season.

October's win came courtesy of 21 points from guard Debra Wilson-Osuide, a player the Mystics will need to keep quiet if they're to avenge their previous loss.

Standout forward Adaora Dioramma (10pts, 11reb) also secured a double-double and helped the hosts win the battle on the glass 51-36. Her availability remains up in the air after missing last weekend's win against Loughborough and is something to keep tabs on.

Kizzy Spence leads the Manchester offence with a D1W fifth-best 18.1PPG. The athletic guard dropped 15 points when the sides last met but her 37% shooting wasn't the best. An uptick in that department (the Mystics shot 35% as a team) could be just what the host's need to secure a win this weekend.

Worcester left wondering

Back-to-back forfeits by Worcester either side of the mid-season break could prove costly for the Wolves after they collected an automatic two-point deduction for their troubles, as per league regulations.

Plagued by injuries and player availability issues, the set-back all but erases Worcester's hopes of a title challenge, not to mention their more immediate issues from such a depleted roster in the coming weeks. 

Once the Midlanders can get bodies back in the fight, however, the Wolves could conceivably aim to get hot late in the season, carrying that momentum into the playoffs.

Given their early-season form and the players they have at their disposal when at full strength, an in-form Worcester isn't a team many would fancy playing in a win or go home scenario.
