WNBL D1 Preview (14/15 Feb 2026) - Live Stats, streaming, schedule and more

Six games make up the weekend, with five contests on Saturday and a lone tie on Sunday. It's headlined by a top-four clash between London Cavaliers and Anglia Ruskin University.

Ipswich vs Manchester should also provide plenty of entertainment, with Loughborough going into a pair of vital contest in their bid to beat potential relegation.

Top-four battles

Anglia Ruskin's trip to table-topping London Cavaliers and Ipswich hosting Manchester Mystics are two contests that are sure to shape the top four this weekend.

The D1W title remains London's to lose, and with remaining games against the strugglers Bromsgrove, Bristol and Loughborough, contests they'd hope to win given their current record, only a few regular-season clashes remain for the Cavs to potentially come unstuck.

A visit from top-four challengers ARU is certainly one, as is an upcoming game with CoLA, but London have only lost twice this season for a reason and they'll be well-prepared to move one step closer to regular season glory this weekend.

Ipswich may be too far back from the Cavs to hold onto realistic title ambitions, but they can strengthen their playoff hopes with a top-four finish.

Knocking off Manchester, previous league leaders, would be a huge boost for the Suffolk side. With the Mystics potentially missing some of their key pieces, guard Kizzy Spence was absent from last weekend's loss in Loughborough, the hosts will fancy their chances tomorrow as well.

Returning junior Ashleigh Pink will also provide a boost for the 2020/21 champs, with the talented guard now turning out for her local club after a successful collegiate stint at Florida's Barry University.

Relegation race tightens up

Bristol's 20-0 forfeit against CoLA last month has trigged an automatic two-point deduction from the Flyers, pulling them into the relegation race in the process.

Joining the All Stars and Riders on six points, and only narrowly ahead of bottom side Bromsgrove, Bristol could find themselves in real trouble this weekend.

With Loughborough and London both facing off on Saturday, and the Riders having a second game on the weekend Sunday away to Brent, there's a chance both teams could pick up wins to plunge the Flyers into the bottom two.

Bristol do have a game themselves, but a road trip to resurgent Worcester is far from a banker for a positive result.

With just one win in their last nine, and with a remaining schedule that still includes a visit from London Cavaliers, alarm bells could well be ringing in the West Country.
