WNBL D1 Preview (20/21 Dec 2025) - Live Stats, streaming, schedule and more

Ipswich will be hoping to navigate a tricky trip to ARU, whilst London All Stars will be aiming for a boost ahead of their Sunday semi-final as they host Bristol.

The Cup action is headlined by an all-London clash between the All Stars and Cavaliers as Loughborough head up the country to face Manchester Mystics.

D1W to end 2025 in the balance?

With their trip to Anglia Ruskin on tap for tomorrow, 6-3 Endeavour Ipswich Basketball will be hoping to end 2025 on a high.

The two points would take them close to current front-runners CoLA and Manchester, perfectly setting up the competition's second half of the season.

With London Cavaliers also firmly in the mix at 7-2, the quartet are set for some huge battles in the coming months.

To get themselves into that position though, Ipswich still need to navigate this weekend. Cambridge is a tough place for any side to play, and a location that Ipswich have come unstuck at before in season's past. Anglia Ruskin can strengthen their own top four chances with a win, so expect a quality contest.

WNBL National Cup

January's WNBL National Cup Final will get its two contenders this weekend as a pair of semi-final ties are set to take place.

Back-to-back winners Ipswich are no longer in contention, meaning a different name will be etched on the historic trophy. That could be 2022/23 winners London Cavaliers, then Thames Valley Cavaliers, if they can beat London All Stars.

The Cavs overcame this weekend's opponents at home in mid-November, winning 78-60 in Uxbridge thanks to 25 points from standout forward Janice Monakana. That'll leave the All Stars with revenge on their agenda, and improving further on what has already been a solid opening season in D1W.

The other semi-final contains another former winner, Loughborough Riders, who claimed the famous trophy back in 2018/19.

League form hasn't been kind to the Riders so far this season, though they'll hope their recent uptick in form will help them against a Mystics side that are flying at 8-2 and won a meeting between these two sides 72-69 a month ago.
