WNBL D1 preview (3/4 Jan 2026) – Live stats, streaming, schedule & more

The Division One Women return to action following the Christmas break with two games that will shape a tightly contested league table.

With third-place London Cavaliers and fourth-place Endeavour Ipswich not in action, there is an opportunity for the top two to create some breathing space.

Leaders Manchester Mystics are on the road at Bromsgrove Bears, while second-place CoLA Southwark Pride host a Loughborough Riders side stuck in the bottom two.

Top plays bottom to start the year

Manchester Mystics (8-2) will look to maintain their place at the summit of D1W as they travel to basement side Bromsgrove Bears (2-8).

Having recently punched their ticket to the Women’s National Cup Final, Mystics will look for their leading scorer Kizzy Spence-Mussington (18.5ppg) to keep up her dazzling form. She had 30 points in the Cup semi-final win over Loughborough.

Second-placed CoLA (8-3) host a tricky Loughborough Riders side (2-7), who might be second from bottom, but have shown a competitive nature this season that can’t be overlooked.
