Manchester vs London part 2

Manchester fans and any neutrals watching Sunday's WNBL National Cup Final certainly got their money's worth from Chloe Andrew's last-second free throw antics, and despite the result, a number of Cavs fans would probably begrudgingly admit that the game was certainly a spectacle.

A quirk of the schedule pits both team against each other once again on Saturday, with the result set to have a significant impact at the top of the D1W table.

Manchester (11-2) current occupy first place, with the Cavs just behind at 10-2. The head-to-head tiebreaker currently sits with the Mystics after a 72-66 win in mid-November, adding another layer of interest to Saturday's clash.

A win for either side would give them a head start in the title race. Nothing should be considered a foregone conclusion this season though, there's bound to be more twists and turns across the final third of a campaign that's been wide-open throughout.

Brent and Bromsgrove double up

A double-header weekend for Brent and Bromsgrove offers both teams the opportunity for valuable points.

Meeting in the West Midlands on Saturday and then London on Sunday, either side could use a boost heading in the back end of the season.

Bromsgrove still sit in the relegation spots at 2-10, and time is running out to claw themselves out of trouble. The nearest side to safety, three-win London All Stars, have a tough road game in Worcester, meaning the chance is there for Bromsgrove to really help themselves out with one, or even two, positive results.

Brent on the other hand have already made some moves of their own, winning each of their last two games against London All Stars and Bristol. A pair of games against the out-of-sorts Bears provides the chance to put a win streak together, and likely  all but secure a playoff spot in the process.
