WNBL D1 Preview (7/8 Mar 2026) - Live Stats, streaming, schedule and more

Six games will play out over the next two days, with the Cavs just needing to beat Loughborough to seal top spot.

If they can't, that opens the door for CoLA to swoop in if they can grab a win from their trip to Anglia Ruskin.

Just one game remains after this weekend, Ipswich's trip to Loughborough on 15 March, before the playoffs begin on 28/29 March.

Destiny awaits for Cavs

After a hard-fought regular season, the title race comes down to one final weekend.

London Cavaliers can crown themselves as champions if they can beat 7-10 Loughborough. 

That task will have looked much easier a month ago but the Riders have since won five of their last six, making themselves one of the form teams in the division.

Still, the Cavs won 69-47 last times the sides met in early November, doing so in the absence of standout forward Janice Monakana.

The title will be heading to London no matter what, but CoLA will be hoping it goes in their direction instead if they can beat Anglia Ruskin whilst hoping that the Cavs slip up.

A tall order, perhaps, but anything is possible at this stage of the season.

Playoff places to be decided

All eyes may be on the title race, but the quest to decide the other six playoff spots is also on this weekend.

With CoLA and London Cavaliers locking out the top two in an order that is still TBC, Anglia Ruskin, Ipswich and Manchester are still scrapping over the remaining top-four places.

ARU's last game with CoLA is a tough one and Manchester currently own a six-game losing streak, making Ipswich the more likely of the trio to make the cut as things stand.

Further back, Worcester and Brent are well-poised after improving their lot in the second half of the season, and Loughborough can seal the eighth and final playoff spot if they can win one of their last three games.
