WNBL D1 Recap (10/11 Jan 2026) - results, stats, streams and more

The Mystics trailed for the majority of the match up with Pride, eventually moving ahead with 21 ticks remaining to snatch a win at the death.

Wins for Ipswich, London Cavaliers and ARU kept all three teams in the hunt as well.

Standout performances

Ipswich battled to a hard-earned 75-62 road win against Bristol, with Harriet Welham leading the way alongside a near triple-double from Maisie Keyes to get the Suffolk side over the line in the absence of Flyers' standout Sammy Roscoe.

CoLA were also missing Adaora Dioramma in their narrow 58-55 loss in Manchester, with Pride outshooting their opponents 37% to 28%, outrebounding them 57-30, yet coming out on the wrong end of the final score.

Eva-Grace Yebila continued her recent good form with a huge-double double, with Kizzy Spence leading Manchester's successful charge.

An impressive two-way performance from ARU's Vicky Gray piled more pressure on Brent as the Bulls went down 66-55 in Cambridge, and the Cavs used a 19-9 third quarter to see off Worcester 67-56.

The under-strength Wolves used just six players in the contest and that showed in a second half that the hosts claimed it 32-22, with Janice Monakana once again a standout for London.

What does it mean for the standings? 

Manchester are now two-point leaders over CoLA at the summit of D1W, though it's not all bad news for the Londoners as they retained the head-to-head tiebreaker between the sides despite defeat.

Two-loss London Cavaliers are right in the mix, with Ipswich and ARU close behind.

Brent's games in hand may help them climb away from the bottom two potential relegation spots in the coming weeks, but just two points current separate bottom side Bromsgrove from playoff bound seventh-place Worcester as things stand.

Player-of-the-week candidates 

Harriet Welham (24pts, 8reb) led the scoring for Ipswich against Bristol, but it was Maisie Keyes (8pts, 11reb, 8ast, 3stl) who enjoyed the most noteworthy performance for Coach Drane's side this weekend.

Durga Dharmadhikari (33pts, 6reb) and Veronica Iweanya (5pts, 21reb) both had solid outings for the Flyers in defeat.

Vicky Gray (16pts, 7reb, 5ast, 5stl, 7blk) was a menace at both ends of the court for Anglia Ruskin in their win against Brent, cancelling out a 16/10 double-double from Bulls' Kenisha Whyte.

Janice Monakana's 25 points paced the Cavs' win against Worcester, Kizzy Spence's 23 points were a team-high for Manchester, and CoLA's Eva-Grace Yebila (25pts, 19reb, 5blk) did everything she could to push Pride to the win as she recorded a big double-double.
