WNBL D1 Recap (21/22 Feb 2026) - results, stats, streams and more

CoLA's 73-58 victory over the Cavs gives Coach Gibbons' side the head-to-head tiebreaker between the two sides, but the Cavaliers can still secure the regular-season title by claiming both of their final two games.

Manchester's two-loss weekend sees the Mystics dropping out of the top four, with Anglia Ruskin and Ipswich both profiting as a result.

Standout performances

CoLA's comeback win over the Cavaliers was a big one, trailing by as many as 17 in the second quarter before leading by 15 come the final buzzer, providing plenty of momentum for Pride alongside a vital two points.

The Cavs did have success in Saturday's encounter against Brent, claiming a hard-fought 76-66 victory to open their weekend on a high.

Worcester Wolves showed they're ready for the post-season by picking up another two wins, seeing off Bromsgrove 77-58 before denting Ipswich's top-four push 78-72 on Sunday.

Anglia Ruskin look set for the third spot after their 64-52 road win in Manchester, holding the Mystics to just four third-quarter points to hand the hosts a fifth-straight loss.

Loughborough look to have secured a post-season spot as their 86-63 W against Bristol strengthened the Riders' grip on eighth. 

Elsewhere, Ipswich started their double-header weekend with a comfortable 79-49 win over London All Stars, with Maya Price beginning her much-anticipated return from a long-term knee injury, and Brent showed their rising stock with a narrow 63-61 win over Manchester.

What does it mean for the standings? 

Despite CoLA's comeback heroics, the equation at the top of D1W remains straightforward.

If the Cavs win their final two games against Bristol and Loughborough, they'll be champions. The current leaders need to better CoLA's point tally now that Pride control the head-to-head tiebreaker, but doing that is still within London's control.

ARU look set to finish third as they control the tiebreaker with their closest challengers Ipswich, meaning Manchester are now on the outside looking in on the top four.

Brent, Worcester and Loughborough complete the playoff spots as things stand, with bottom side Bromsgrove's chances of catching London All Stars and Bristol being dealt another blow this week with the news that their postponed clash with London Cavaliers has now been handed to their opponents 20-0.

Player-of-the-week candidates 

CoLA's win over the Cavs was headlined by a 17-point, 12-rebound double-double from Adaora Dioramma, plus 25 points from Ayla Habbal, as both moved into POTW contention.

Ipswich's Harriet Welham dropped 58 points across contests with the All Stars and Wolves, but the Suffolk side couldn't overcome big games from the Wolves' Eri Bukoye (20pts, 16reb) and Ciani Montgomery (26pts, 6reb, 6stl) in Sunday's loss.

Tia Freeman (32pts, 6reb, 5ast) put up a big stat line for ARU against Manchester, Janice Monakana (24pts, 10reb) enjoyed a double-double for the Cavs against Brent and Caitlin Ryan (22pts, 4ast) was the standout for Loughborough against Bristol.
