WNBL D1 Recap (31 Jan/1 Feb 2026) - results, stats, streams and more

The Bulls claimed their double-header against Bromsgrove, picking up a pair of wins to boost them up the D1W standings.

London Cavaliers got revenge for their WNBL National Cup Final loss to Manchester to install themselves as title favourites, and Worcester eased past London All Stars.

Standout performances

The big game of the weekend went to the Cavs, knocking off title rivals Manchester 68-62.

A one-point game going into the fourth, the hosts took a low-scoring final frame 11-6 to avoid any last-second antics that may have cost them a win for the second time in as many weeks.

Brent vaulted up the standings with a pair of wins this weekend, deepening Bromsgrove's troubles in the process.

Saturday's 66-51 win required a 23-7 fourth quarter to get the Bulls over the line, taking what was a close contest and turning it into an easy win as that momentum then spilled over into a one-sided 83-35 contest.

Worcester continue to heat up as they claimed another win, beating London All Stars 76-61 thanks to a 24-9 third quarter.

The win was the Wolves third in a row as they look to come good ready for the post-season.

What does it mean for the standings? 

Manchester are now tied at the top with London Cavaliers, but the Cavs have played one less game, and suffered one less loss.

The remaining top-four spots now appear to be a three-way fight between Anglia Ruskin, CoLA and Ipswich, with Brent now close behind after their big weekend.

Bromsgrove, Loughborough and London All Stars are all in the mix at the bottom, with time running out for all three teams to find form and escape their current positions.

Player-of-the-week candidates 

Cavs' Chinwe Iwunze (19pts, 4reb, 3stl) helped get her side past Manchester, with forward Sante Moonie (17pts, 13reb) providing a valuable double-double off the bench to counter Kizzy Spence's 18 points for the Mystics.

Eighteen points from Fannie Serrano helped Brent on Saturday before Aoife Ryan (12pts, 3ast), Francesca Quinn (11pts, 4reb, 3ast), Eleanor Bishop (12pts) and Nicole Clancy (12pts, 5reb) all helped the Bulls run riot on Sunday.

Carolina Marques (24pts), Ciani Montgomery (11pts, 6reb, 8ast) and Marlee Ball (15pts, 8reb) were the standouts for Worcester in their win, with Kat Goldsby (24pts, 6reb) and Jessica Hunt (14pts, 17reb) both battling hard in defeat for the All Stars.
