Senior Manager - Leagues, Competitions & Member Services

Basketball England is seeking a key leader to be part of cultural and business transformation for the National Governing Body. 

Basketball England is the NGB for the sport in England. As the nation’s second biggest team sport, we have an enormous responsibility to ensure we have a safe, welcoming and thriving environment that is accessible to everyone. 

The sport is going through many changes as the basketball community and Basketball England manage a challenging financial environment while seeking ways to meet the increasing demand for basketball. 

We are going through a major change programme to capitalise on the opportunities ahead. This includes digital and customer service transformation, a new membership proposition and benefits to help the membership grow and for us to reinvest into the game more. This will be complemented by a drive for more commerciality for the game to stimulate a better basketball economy and our drive to build the local infrastructure of playing opportunities, clubs, coaches and officials. 

We are seeking a Senior Manager who will be responsible for devising, implementing and evaluating our leagues and competitions strategy, as well as overseeing the member services related to game day. The role will have a focus on promoting inclusive competitions at all levels and in all settings as well as staging national events. 

The role will involve leading the implementation of a major review of our league and competition structures with our advisory groups, Regions, Local leagues, and members to increase participation, wider access, and success through the pathway. This will also include influencing our digital changes to help deliver excellent customer service and member benefits.

Regional Chair needed for South East Region

Basketball England are looking to fill a Regional Chair Vacancy in the South East Region. The role of the Chair will be to work with the Regional Development Team to ensure that the Regional Committee functions effectively and maximises the potential of each area, providing leadership at regional level on Basketball England’s activities.

This important role involves leading the committee of regional representatives and working with the Regional Development Team to deliver Basketball England’s activity, as agreed by the Board and committees. You will assist in enabling members in your region to have access to good quality basketball playing opportunities, competitions, and other supporting activities to help them get the most out of their sport.

Greenhouse Sports are looking to recruit a qualified, skilled Basketball Head Coach to lead their programmes.

They have roles based at Ark Globe Academy and Harris Academy. Both of these roles involve planning and delivering a comprehensive high-quality coaching and mentoring programme.

To be considered for this role you must hold a NGB Level 2 (or equivalent) coaching qualification and have experience of successfully delivering and managing top quality basketball programmes for children and young people in a school, community or sports club setting

Yateley Silverbacks - Basketball Coach

Yateley Silverbacks Basketball Club is looking for a BE Level 2 Qualified Basketball Coach to join our Silverbacks Family.

Based in Yateley, you’ll have the opportunity to Coach, Develop and Inspire sixteen teams (and growing!) from mixed U10’s right through to mixed adults. 

We’re looking for someone as Passionate as we are, who loves working in a Team environment. 

The role will be part time (2-3 evenings a week, and regular weekends) and we’re offering a competitive hourly rate.
