GB v Estonia & Portugal: Women's EuroBasket double-header in Manchester - tickets on sale

Great Britain return to Manchester for two crucial Women’s EuroBasket 2023 Qualifiers in February.

Head coach Chema Buceta’s team are fired up for a home double-header against Group G rivals Estonia and Portugal on 9 February (7.30pm) and 12 February (4pm) respectively at the National Basketball Performance Centre.

Tickets are on sale now for both games as GB bid to secure the two wins required to see them progress to the summer’s finals in Israel and Slovenia. Buy ‘early bird’ discounted tickets for both games HERE

They go into the games after beating Portugal in Porto in November with a dramatic overtime victory.

The away game against Estonia earlier in 2022 saw a narrow win for the home team, leaving it all to play for in Manchester.

Much will rest on stars such as Temi Fagbenle, Chantelle Handy, Azania Stewart and Kristine Anigwe, while Coach Buceta has some exciting young stars establishing themselves in his team.

But he knows he can rely on the fighting spirit of his team, saying: “I’m proud of this GB team – players who have put ‘we’ in front of ‘me’, ‘team needs’ in front of ‘personal issues’, ‘generosity’ in front of ‘selfishness’. This must be the attitude to have the honour of representing Great Britain.”
